Wow, that's horrid. :( Poor puppy gets the brunt of it. What person alive would leave a 2 month old baby alone for 2 hours!! I don't care if their was no dog in the house. That baby should have been in is swing in his mothers room, or where the grand parents were. I understand, babys sleeping in swing so good, I've gotta go into the next room real quick come back 5 min. later. But 2 hours without being checked on, or brought in the room with his mom? How patheitc! I hope this girl has to suffer badly for her horrible decision! I don't care if she was 17, or 27! She was adult enough for her to have a baby, but not adult enough to be tried like an adult? How stupid is this justice system! I'm so sorry for this baby, but atleast he won't have to grow up in a horrible family, & be left to roam the streets when he's 8! Maby she should have uthinized for allowing this to happen, & see what they find! LoL.

I was just wondering about this case last week or so, thanks for the update 4pack.
This whole case is so disgusting and sad. A whole houseful of adults, and no one watched that baby...how could they not hear his cries of pain and terror? Bunch of meth heads imo. I wonder why the legal adults in the house, the mother's parents, are not being charged. They are all to blame here. Utterly senseless.

I don't understand why the mother is not being charged as an adult unless the laws there are different in Florida???? In Florida once a female has a child, she becomes an imancipated adult. (spelling?) The pup looked awful small to be the age they deemed it, perhaps it was under feed, they look like a house full of loosers. The baby could have had milk or spit up with food about it's neck & chest. The pup would have had to work hard to get the swing to turn over to get to it, so were the two women just asleep, hung over or all drugged up????? I think drug & alcohol testing for the two of the women would not be out of line but it may be too late to show up in their system now, not knowing the mothers drug of choice! The father & grandfather weren't at home but the sorry ass mother & grandmother were and should both be held responsible.
My daughter & granddaughter (4 months old) live with me, we have 7 dogs at my home. They are NEVER allowed to even be near the baby without supervision. Not that I think they are viscious or would TRY to kill my granddaughter but they certainly could injure her easily with her tender baby skin so why would you even take the risk of injury????? There are warnings on those damn swings telling you not to leave a baby unattended in them!!!!! These people are just down right sorry & lazy. Who the hell sleeps in until 10:30am????? Someone who works for a living and has to get up & ready for work. Those scum bag's were probly up all night drinking, taking drugs, etc. Give me a break! I have a 20 week old GSD pup, who has bitten me while playing several times and broken the skin. Pups have VERY sharp puppy teeth and nails and don't mean to cause injury, they are babies too and just playing, so you have to use your brain and protect the baby, the puppy and hell yourself.

I believe that licenses and tests should be required to have children in the USA
You cant cure stupid, and we have it in great abundance..

This is tragic for the baby involved and now a 6 week old pup, both of them were just starting out in life.
This story just doesn't add up.
Ridiculous that the police euthanised the pup to "gather evidence",couldn't they have tried another method?
