Ladywolf am glad to hear your shepherd survived these dogs and your children are safe, people like them need to be shot, not their dogs. What a great dog you have, glad to hear your story hoping those people have moved, if not keep the gun loaded :-)
As for picking at each other over spelling mistakes, how childish, just another way to argue, I feel sad for you if you have a need to do that. Time to grow up:-(
Hope your home life (family) doesn't suffer from arguments like some of us do on this site. Hoping maybe it gives them relief, you leave them alone. Something negative about some of the people that like to argue here. Maybe it's because you need to get a life.
Abhay, why would you want to own that many dogs, bet they don't get the attention they deserve. And if you are into dog fights, then I hope they turn on you if you do. Judgment day is coming near and then the truth will come out, not my position to judge you without proof, though some of what you said and also wanting Do Rights address makes me wonder. I hope not.
I come to this site hoping to get insight of things to do with shepherds, but most times I leave feeling sick because of the BS that goes on. Knowing the difference you could all make working together to help dogs. LE's know the law and most others are lovers of dogs could change the world for dogs, and you want to waste it over BS.

I don't know how my reply ended up in this thread, I started it in Are ya'll THAT forgiving, so quickly? It must of changed over when the computer went funny, though it was the first and only thread I'd read at this point. F*#KING puters, lol

Abhay,
You make interesting points, I also have labs & shepherds,
and the shepherds are snuffing out varmints left & right,
the other day, I only had my 2 labs in the dog pen, and
found a dead possum, and all that time I thought the
shepherds were the only killer's!
I like to think of the GSD as a wash & wear kinda dog,
I tell people that get pups from me, give them the least amount
of shots, like I only do parvo, distemper & rabies.
Anyway, the real reason I wrote in is so you could see my dog Theo,
walking in a blizard, it was valentines day, I took this shot from my
sliding glass door, shepherds actually love wild weather!
No booties on this muffin!!

My dog can beat your dog.
My willy's bigger than yours.
I can piss farther than you....
[rolls eyes] Gimmie a BREAK!!
I once owned a tabby cat that had survived most of a winter in the back alleys of Edmonton, at 40 below zero. One night he decided to move in with us. He stood up to my room-mate's GSD, gave it a good lick across the face, then walked into the kitchen and sat down in front of the fridge, asking for some supper.
The same cat used to beat up my neighbour's Irish wolfhound just for kicks.
He took on a GSD and a GSD/Husky mix and beat the crap out of both of them. One of these dogs, if not both, had killed one of the stable cats.
I called him 'Baron', as in 'Bloody Red Baron.'
You don't have to be a big, strong badass to beat a dog. Just fast, smart and tough. I like the story about the chihuahua. Now there was a dog with cojones (LITERALLY!) (applauds)
I see teenagers arguing this sort of s**t on Yahoo Answers. For pete's sake, let's GROW UP!!
GSD's have bad hips, elbows, etc. due to being severely inbred. Just look at the show line peds. Every time you inbreed/linebreed, you increase the risk of the bad genes that are in the line being expressed, as well as the genes you want. It's simple mathematics. We need to take a page from the Spartan's book, and cull the breed more rigourously, except I'd prefer spaying and neutering to tossing them off a cliff. Most GSD breeders don't have a clue what they're doing. I know a breeder who started out in Shepherds, but was appaled by the bad hips, etc. etc. and began to breed her own dogs. She goes back EIGHT GENERATIONS before making a match between two dogs. She calculates the COE (coeffcient of inbreeding) each time, to make sure she's not breeding too close. I forget her exact stats, but she has achieved a drastic reduction in the number of genetic defects in her dogs (Epi, dysplasia, etc.)
