Awesome weather here .. thanks to the men and women of the National Weather Service for keeping our weather nice. If you are going to credit the police with keeping our streets all sweet and nice smelling then credit the weather service for the good weather and blame them for hurricanes. I am a citizen and cops that escalate and cause violent situations should be fired. If they kill or attack other citizens outside the same rules that govern every other citizen they should be tried for their crimes and go to prison. Cops are not the law nor are they above the law. The police serve at the direction of and permission of the citizens and the elected government that represents the people of the United States. K9 teams and SWAT teams are for special jobs and should not be used because they are available nor should dogs or SWAT teams be used to subdue normal citizens in family situations unless there is a thorough knowledge of those present in the residence and reason to believe that extreme force is required to do the job. Breaking into a residential home with children present to serve a mickey mouse warrant does not justify the use of a K9 team or a SWAT team.

Some good posts and videos Bubba there will be good cops but in some situations IMO they need more profesionals who can
handle and control the situation better not amateurs using only brutal force.
Here is an other one for your collection this suspect also surrender himself hands high sending the dog is not necessary. @ 12,17

All the armchair quarterbacks should learn to get the facts before commenting..... SMH
Who knew buring a xmas tree would get you bit in the face & manhandled by the cops.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3063996/Horrific-moment-police-dog-savages-man-s-face-puts-hands-surrender-captured-cop-s-body-camera.html
I'm all for using force when/if needed & I strongly support the upstanding LEO's, but they need to start cleaning house & get rid of the trash(both 2 & 4 legged)

And : burning a Xmas tree in a barrel in his yard, no less. Dreadful felony,
worthy of a home invasion.
Interesting to see, from this link, that the guy started a court case against the
arresting officers (and their psycho dog ?) - does anyone know if it has been
heard yet, and the result ?

Police work is essential , complex and dangerous.
I value and respect good cops I think they are like supermen and women.
In any job some are selected wrongly and not up to the task. If they are wrongly selected to pack shelves at the grocery store the worst they can do is drop a can of beans on their toe.
when people are wrongly selected and are granted a lot of power and are strapped to the eyeballs with high tech weapons the stakes are higher.
Pay cops more, recruit better cops, expect more from them. Seems to be too many blunt objects in the force at the moment.
Strength and safety to the good ones.

Looks like he entered a guilty plea to felony, aggravated assault when the incident went to court. Apparently it was for a little more than burning a Christmas tree: http://www.good4utah.com/media/lib/5/a/1/4/a1458ccc-a974-4d88-b1c6-4f9171a04a79/Press_Release_2c_Agg._Assault_Arson_13H003938.pdf
The media info about his lawsuit is all dated April or May of 2015. If so, it has probably not been heard yet.
