Gwen's temp dropped to 37 C yesterday, and she kept K. awake half the night, nesting.
Looks like K. might be right: Valentine's Day puppies!
(Though this would be awfully early for most bitches...)

Photo of "The Belly"! Any guesses as to how many might be in there? Yes, we shaved around her nipples, as this being winter, the hair on her belly was pretty long and shaggy.

Oh poor Gwen. She looks like she is ready to pop and just praying for it to be over. No guess on the # of puppies though.

Oh my!!!! Poor Gwen, she doesn't look happy! Those last few days of pregnancy are so uncomfortable! I vote for Valentine's Day, that way she'll be on to the next stage, soon! I can't hazard a guess at how many....she looks like she's having baby elephants! Best wishes to you & Gwen, & best of luck for an easy delivery, & a bunch of healthy, chunky pups!

BTW, K. entered Gwen in an CKC conformation class last summer, against 6 ASL bitches, and she took second place! She might have placed higher, but she got distracted when she spotted her owner outside the ring.
I'd like to see K. enter a few more CKC classes with her... 
The father of the litter is an ASL, so we may get some pups capable of competing in ASL- type conformation shows!
