Red Sable

Could very well be. :D

How do you like your Quanto granddaugher Ibrahim?  Is she maturing nicely?  He sure is a good looking dog!

by Ibrahim on 26 November 2010 - 18:11

Yes I agree with you, sometimes a working dog does not have the beautiful looks and conformation, but its traits and drives are very good that so it is a very good dog, but when lacking in structure as well as drives are average then it is not the best working dog. Though I am not an expert but having four working dogs and watching them over more than a year I can see the differences amongst them. Now so picture is more clear she is sweet and adorable and a good dog but she is less in structure as well as drives than my other three.
There is a possibility that she is a slower one in maturing and she will be better later, so what I said about her is what I see at this moment.

Chetra is a full sister to Rooka's pups parents.  Rooka if you are reading this, you may find this interesting.

Thanks Ibrahim, I really enjoy discussing your dogs.  They all have such great pedigrees.

Quanto granddaughter is the best that could be, I can not say she is top in conformation but wow she is harder than both Erri and Orwell, she makes them crazy when they play together and wants to boss them both, bites them on top of the necks, and pardone me for this, sometimes she forgets she is a girl and thinks she is a male.

Chetra moves lightly with no effort and with big strides, when she plays with Lujain she watches herself so she doesn't hurt my daughter. Whenever she comes to me she sits beside me and touches me with her head, she does not lay down in submission like some dogs do (and I hate their act). If you give her a treat she takes it in honorable manner and eats it slowly.

She sounds like a nice dog for families.  Honestly, I think a dog can have high drives without being an off the wall energizer bunny.

by Ibrahim on 26 November 2010 - 19:11

Yes she is a very good companion maybe that is why Lujain loves her and feels she is safe with her and prefers to play with her not Erri, when she plays she moves with caution and doesn't jump near or on Lujain. Erri does not see anyone around him when he is chasing the ball, he would jump to take the ball from anyone's hand and he may knock you down as a result. Chetra does not cut or spoil trees, Erri has damaged 4 small sized trees and 3 pairs of the farmer slippers.
Any dog or puppy can eat with Chetra, but no dog dares to come close to Erri's plate even when he had enough he does not allow other dogs to eat from same plate.

Glad you guys are so good at staying on topic.  I thought the topic was a critique about another dog.  Oh well it is this forum. No other forum in the history of forums allows people to get so far off topic.

IMO start a new thread or take it to pm's.

LOL Ibrahim, Erri sounds like a monster and Chetra very much a lady.

by Ibrahim on 26 November 2010 - 19:11

Yes she is a lady with class and she cares about the otherside feelings, when we go to the farm sometimes Lujain takes her away, they sit on the ground and Lujain tells Chetra about her school, the students, teachers ... she also tells her stories and sometimes reads to Chetra from a book, Chetra listens and keeps quiet without interruptions and Lujain swears she understands what she says to her.
