I just had to comment on this Peggy Sue, a good friend of mine bought a dog off her with a written guarintee to buy this dog back no questions asked if she didnt work out.

This dog was sold to my friend for 12 hundred dollars and was supposed to be a nice sized female house broke great with kids etc. She came extremely undersized, completly untrained. All lies.

My friend had the dog a week and this tiny 38 lb bi color GSD was so hyper and uncontrollable. Peggy sue refused to take the dog back,OMG this dog wound up killing a treasured house pet of  the buyer's.Everything that Peggy Sue says to sell a dog is a lie.

I have witnessed this first hand.  Very sad.

This so-called breeder has been discussed here multiple times, all with poor reviews. Yet, when people think they can take advantage for themselves, off they go to such a breeder, knowing full well what has been written here so many times. When someone is unethical, they don't suddenly become ethical just for you....regardless of what kind of dog or deal you think you are getting.

I don't know how many times this has been said, but it seems to escape some of you. Don't do business, ANY business with people like this and you will be better off. This is simple!

How many Dog owners in the USA are not Breeders or have never bred there Dogs ,

looking at this forum over the last 12 months it looks like a huge number of Dog owners breed there Dogs,

No wonder Dogs have problems with bad hips and Joints,

As far as i can see most do it for financial gain, not to better the German Shepherd Breed

I expect i will get a keep out of it by a few but the truth always hurts some who are culprits of such practice

I think that people need to be aware of the issues surrounding a breeder that they're considering.  I'm currently looking for a breeder to work with next spring, as I would like to find a perfect German Shepherd female for a family pet, and for obedience and agility.  One thing I have learned is to research a kennel I'm considering, and to see just how many angry clients they have.  If there are an inordinate amount of complaints, or angry people, then there's probably something wrong there.  One main one I won't even consider (and there are many) is Omega Shepherds, out of Montana.  I have read some very disturbing things on this list, and on many other pages scattered across the internet, concerning this operation, and I think I'd be better off going to the local shelter before going with Omega.

Is anyone here familiar with Barenburg Shepherds?  I'd be interested in what folks here might have to say about them.
