Teeth Smile Duke,  I hope you realized that I am a firm defender of this kind of dogs....

Our main problem is that we don´t KNOW what kind of dog Mithuna´s female really is, and Mithuna right now believes in unproven tell tales of "real dogs", but isn´t able to compare.

Duke…you’re right…many sport dogs can function without those things. The top dogs? Good luck. Again, statements constantly made about podium dogs by people that have never seen them work, or when they do, they’re so highly biased and so predisposed to jealousy, that the dog has to be bad for one reason or another. People don’t give judges enough credit. The national/world level judges can read the dogs, they know what drives they’re working in. I can tell you that knowledgeable spectators can also see the difference when a balanced dog is out on the field and working in prey/aggression in the way Schutzhund was meant to be done. Are there dogs that “just get by?” Absolutely. And no one cares about them in the long run.

Susie…I know there are dogs like that. But they’re so rare…and sorry, an untrainable dog isn’t something I’d ever consider to be anything special. If you can’t train it…what’s the point of it? And you’re right, it’s a nobody cares dog. I’ve never heard of the dog either. I’m not sure what other forums Mithuna is on, but I’m sure it’s just another dog that someone is trying to pimp out and talks about how amazing it is.

Vk4…spot on. I’ve watched countless “old time” videos. Very few are impressive. Very few actually prove the things that people say about those dogs. You just see dogs looking around in the blind, shallow, munchy grips, slowing down on the long bites…and a lot of other things that wouldn’t even qualify the dog for nationals in the United States today, much less the WUSV team.

Mithuna...I'm not telling you to believe anyone on this forum over any other forum. I'm telling you to get real life experience. Forget what people write about their own dogs. How do I know they're lying/exaggerating? ITS HUMAN NATURE. I'm not even telling you to believe anything I say, I really don't care. Just stop repeating what people write and thinking it means anything. They're all opinions...highly subjective, biased opinions. The moment you learn the difference between opinion and fact, you'll figure out what I'm trying to get across to you.

Bav by your first post it's almost as if you know this awesome dog that goes off at the decoy when he walks by without the sleeve..haha.

All the dogs I have had that where good for any kind of protection work where appropriately social and mellow with visitors once I let them into the house. My current dog you can pet all day.
But when I activate him will bite anyone. That comes from training decent nerves and good character.

Correction my POS GSD will, especially if they are female, asshat.

Mithuna... How old is this female and how long have you been training with a helper?

Mithuna

Shes 19 months old and have been with the trainer about 5 months. Will try to do a vid of her doing some work. The first picture is how she came to us one rainy november  17  night  2014 NYC  , like a little chunk of lead .  The second photo  is all  87 lbs of her at 3/11/2016.

Susie, am I getting the nutrition part right?

How tall is she? 87 lbs. is a lot of weight for a female. One of my females is a bit oversized, probably 24 1/2 inches tall, and she's never been more than 70 lbs. Mind you, I like to keep my dogs lean.
