The German Shepherd dog, hands down. No other breed has the power to turn my head like a GSD.
Next up would be Collie...We have a border collie, but the breed is way too high strung for me, flighty...Have always loved the Rough Collie, but have to say that the grooming gets to be a pain. And the showline dogs have gotten funny looking of late, too, but I love them, and always have.

Malinois and an ACD. Both are pure working dogs. I love a Malinois ability to do bite work today put him in a kennel or home get him out 2 years from now give him a bite and he is right back where you left off . Only breed I know that can do that

GSD's for their loyalty, looks and personality.
We have 3 Poms too, I always said I would never have a hairy yip yip, but we took in a Pom that a woman had to find a home for because her abusive husband was threating to kill it during her divorce. That dog was wonderful, didn't yap at all, never pottied in the house, was a great traveler. When she died we got 2 more. The three we have now are a little more typical of Pom temperment I think, but we love them. My husband is disabled and uses a power chair, our littlest one is his dog, for sure. She loves to ride in the chair with him.
I have had a hankering for a standard poodle, the apricot color I think it's called. Just a puppy clip, none of that show ring garbage.

GSDSRULE -- My Toy Poodle was Apricot. I always had him in the puppy clip. I like the Standard Poodles too -- Poodles are very intelligent dogs.

Dave, what breed do you have now? Do you participate in sports?

Hands down favorite is the Rottweiler. Followed closely by Riesenschnauzer. My female Riesenschnauzer is the most affectionate dog I've ever owned. A bed hog but sweet.
