Steph,

I fell out of the bleachers when I was a kid, watching my mom play softball. Got a concussion and pulled the muscle in my eye, made it lazy just like that! It was a quick surgery, Doc pops your eye out and tightens the muscle or wear bi-focals for 12 yrs to build the muscle back up. I was 4, I chose glasses, not popping my eyeball out but I later wished I had just got it done the quick way, as I grew up and hated my glasses.

Maybe one will be an option for you? My sight wasn't affected though, you have more serious vision and nerve issues to deal with, thought I'd share what I experienced with the lazy eye stuff.

Hope you feel better soon and get the answers from the Doctors you want.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions....I go to the doctor again on Tuesday for another check-up. We will see what he says then...I am so sorry for all the accidents that have happened to each of you, but it does show that we are all strong people and we do survive, improvise where needed and go on.
Thanks for all your support. And I thank God that there are people still wanting rescue dogs out there instead of puppies. One went yesterday and another is going to its forever home on Wednesday and then 3 more coming in...so much for cutting back...lol....I am trying to take it easy, luckily these are all around 2 yrs old and fairly easy dogs...my own dogs are kinda liking the reprieve too..since I am spending more time with them...
Take care all and thanks again for the support...and the bigger type, it helps...

Steph,

So good to hear dogs are going to forever homes.  I wish you could relax and rest but I don't think it's in you to do that.  Happy that 3 new dogs are going to be under your care, not so happy that you are still pushing yourself.  Take it easy girl!  Thinking of you often!

  Hope you recover fully soon.

I got clipped on the temple by a yearling once. He was running by and doing the, "you can't catch me and put me back in a stall" dance and clopped me a good one on my temple (broke the earpiece of my glasses). My boss insisted I go to the ER and sitting there filling out the paper work she asked how old I was. I said, "23". A few minutes later it dawned on me that I was NOT 23, I was 25! Turned out I had a mild concussion and severe bruising.

I love horses, but working around them, it's just a matter of time before you end up in the hospital for something.

Morning Steph :)))
Do you have enough wood in for heat this winter? It is starting to get cold. I hope your health is improving. Again dang them horses anyway.
Always,
Cee

UPDATE:
Well went to the doc yesterday, long day today, another rescue dog went to its forever home, but 3 more are coming in this weekend. So much for slowing down...
The news from the Doc wasn't too comforting, Still no change in the eye movement, it is the nerve that is damaged and not the muscle. So I still won't know for at least 6 months. It is still cross-eyed. I do have more facial fractures than at first thought. several fractures around the eye, cheekbone, upper and lower jaw and temple area. The hematoma is going down, pulled more fluid out. Now my hair covers most of it. This is the best photo I have, my brother took today...I actually have almost a real face now, The first ones I sent Deb were pretty scary, wouldn't want anyone seeing me that way. But the change is tremendous. And my brother is leaving this weekend and going to try to get back in about 2-3 weeks...I have lots of local friends that will help while he is gone. And yes, Cee it is getting colder. No wood in yet, brother will help me when he gets back. Have enough to survive till then...
Thanks all for your prayers...

FIRST HOME FROM HOSPITAL...YUK!!!
