I have also been pondering u names and agree with red sable, most are not that nice, for males nearly everyone here chooses Ulk, Uran, Ursus, and while I don't dislike these I would prefer to be more original! Difficult though... of the names suggested here I like: Uri Ulrich (though the bear in Golden Compass is Iorek) Ulko Ulf Urnie Ulysses (too many syllables?) Will try to think of new ideas...

Two Moons .... No this is not my 21st litter. I will be purchasing from a U litter. The breeder gave me some names and asked for my suggestions. After this ... when and if I ever hit 21 I will skip the letter U. LOL

I have looked at the name picker and all baby names and I am even trying to make up names. Did the E and the O thing too. My problem is, I would like the registered name to also be the call name (I know I don't have too but...) that's what makes it so much harder.

Thank you everyone for all your suggestions! .

I still vote for "Urman" it's pretty unique, I've never seen another animal with the name....plus friends and family tease him....they call him U R The Man

Thanks for the correction on the bears name, I read so many books I guess I got confused over the Danish Prince Ulrick and the pronumciation in the movie, even though I read the book too.

We need to remember the name for the I litters, another tough letter!

I feel for you, I have a U litter pup, and U names for girls are stupid.

What about some of these Jeff
Ursa (scandinavian - bear)
Ursala (greek - little bear)
Ulema (arabic - intelligent one)
Ulva (german - wolf)
Urbi (egyptian - princess)

Jeff I agree with you I am really stuck for U girls names (I need 3). Have looked at loads of name lists and I do have a shortlist but am not really 100% inspired by any of them. Any more ideas for the U girls??? I wonder what Lyn decided on in the end?
