What makes me say that Tess,  is I have respect for the overwhelming majority of those who are blending these particular breeds  and have seen some really nice dogs come of it.  But I guess  the KNPV people in other parts of the world like the Netherlands, Belgium,  and  various military units and and police departments around the world couldn't possibly know what they are doing - hey I know, maybe they should give you a call and you can set them straight on what's wrong with their programs.

Hey GARD, me too a GSD/Mali/Dutchie mix and I'm gonna name it Jesus.

Looking at the pedigree, I see Zender goes back to Robby Glockeneck a couple of times. I read an interveiw with the guy who owned the Antwerpa Kennel. He owned Robby and used him as a stud dog. So the Mals from Kukay's more than likely have him in them and the Antwerpa dogs have who knows what mals are in them. I know Kukay's used (or said they used) Elgos du Chem des Plaines who was owned by Luc Vandergerten (sp?) of Des Deux Pottios Kennel in Belgium so they probably have Elgos (know for big grips) and other Deux Pottios dogs.

They were a Dutch couple living in Belgium at the time Deux Pottios Kennel was the biggest (and arguably the best) malinios kennel in Belgium. I know some people out there can do the math.

So it looks like the breeder of the dog above knew what he was doing. He was following the lines of two (or should I say one) successful kennel(s). Both of which produced world champion dogs.

Smart man.

I'm no fan or cheerleader for the Malinois breed. I am personally 100% into the working German Shepherd. This is a great board and a great service Oli provides "for free". I see it like this...who am I to tell him what can and can't be posted? Some of your people nit pick at the stupidest stuff. If you paid half as much attention to training your dogs, you might get somewhere. But oh no, people have to whine about pictures of dogs tied whike mating, mixed dogs for sale, inbreedings that are too tight for their comfort level. Can ya say..."hmm OK, not my thing, take a swallow and get over it"? Nope, you gotta make a big stink because you have no actual valuable subject/knowledge to write about! Step up next generation of know it alls. Tell us all how it should be, instead of keeping an open mind and maybe learning something interesting and factual. I swear, some act as if the blending of 2 or more breeds is a sin or direct act against them or our breed.

Oh and by the way, all of my dogs are GSD, no Mals or part Mals...that I know of. They carry the Antverpa lines in them, so... I like em Belgian bred baby!

A hairless variety of the GSD would be nice.  I wish someone would work on that.  I'm trying to stain and varnish floors and all this hair is getting me down.

I'm with 4pack.  Bring on the Belgium breds, with or without the Mal.  Whatever.  Some of you are acting like you just found out that your best friend is sleeping with your mother.

That's funny. If I cross breed, the dogs may come out ugly but in her day my best friends mom was hot

Belgium where they brew good beer, breed good dogs, and make a hell of a waffle.

I am dying to get there someday.

Hell, some even act as if blending two different LINES (working/showline, or GOD FORBID! German and American lines) is a sin!

I shall now go wash my mouth out with soap in repentance...    then go train my German showline/ American showline bitch!

MI GSD...yup, we're in peak shedding season now with our German Shedding Dogs, so the thought of a hairless GSD has indeed crossed my mind lately!
