Reading this thread on the patio with some amusement, with a cup of coffee, then I find the video I am looking for. Then, click,  the video is on. My wife is next to me in a lawn chair, reading a magazine. She glances at it, listening to the "double handlers" then sees dogs that kinda look like GSDs... Glances at me when a fat guy with a yellow shirt whizzes by, Watches it a bit more...

What is this bullshit?

Honey, I have no idea what these people are doing... She is inside now, Texas heat, I am still laughing. God, I love my wife.

Why don't all the pathetic cry babies go back to doing what they do best.  Isn't there a poor broken down old drunk in need of financial assistance to feed their dogs and leave a bad marriage.  Why beat up on the people actually helping the breed.  Supporting the sport and showing good sportmanship isn't as fun as thinking your saving someone from evil. 

The things some of you get behind is sad.  Shit you get all worked up over who owns what litter, and forget that the breeding should not of happened.  Obviously I don't have time to smack down with the fools on this board often.  I actually have a sucessful life.  But please just find a board not related to GSD's and go there to be all mean and foolish. 

I too have plenty of scars where I scraped a body part across a dog's mouth.  I hate that.  "Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"

This is hilarious! OK, and a bit sad at the same time....   I have always wondered why with a breed as intelligent as the GSD it is apparently impossible to actually train them to gait around an arena without the dog and pony show double handling ringside? 

Honestly, to an outsider like me it just appears that these dogs are too stupid to be trained to obey a simple command to "move out" and fly around the ring on their own accord.  Hell, why not just show these dogs at greyhound tracks and train them to chase the rabbit?  At least the humans would be able to look less foolish....

Everyone can lambast me now for being ignorant and picking on these dogs but as a non-GSD owner, this is honestly what it looks like.

Getting home late from work tonight and rushing to the Emergency Vet, I finally decided to check email and this forum....
After reading through multiple new pages....I would like to make a final post of my impression of this years 2010 UScA SS.
I personally witnessed with my own eyes..my own ears...a couple of incidents, that I found disturbing.
Yes...I have been around Titan numerous times, and I've never witnessed anything like at the SS.
I have no idea what lead up to the aggression problem that Titan displayed..??...but it did cross my mind that it might have something to do with "testosterone" levels.....and I was concerned/convinced that the dog & handler would be excused from the event ( because of the rules, I believed pertained to such events)...and yes, I was surprised when it was over......but that was not the incident I was disturbed by...

The situations that I am completely disgusted by....began before the final day.
I watched (with my own eyes) officials behave and speak corruptly& inappropriate with spectators & exhibitors alike.....
I heard (with my own ears) dealings & "suggestions" with officials, from exhibitors & spectators.......so there is no one who can tell me otherwise.

I'm not new to this venue...I know "exactly" what is happening around us all...I am completely "literate" with the politics & language of the dog sports....and try as people may...they will never eradicate it all.
But there comes a time...when enough is enough.....

Most of us know each other in the real world, and many of us are friends or at least respected acquaintances, many of us are also friendly competitors....so the (bashing) of each other is juvenile.
And there ARE...some very nice people in the GSD breed & sports.

The officials are the ones that need to be "watched".....exhibitors can only behave in unsportsmanlike behaviours...if the officials are corrupt themselves.
I have nothing further to comment on.....this thread has become something other than what is should have been.

Ok guys I just got back from my science experiment. I ran outside for half and hour came back inside and stuck my hand my dogs mouth, to my surprise I was not bleeding. Sorry had to do it! Sorry all these postings were about the judges not following rules but Julie and Eddie came on and made it about them by lying about what Phil and many others saw with there own two eyes! Still lets not bash them they are competitors, Julie didn't give her dog VA1 the Judge did. It is sad to think that the number 1 dog in the country the best GSD to represent the breed we all love gives us all a bad name because he bit his own owner. Thats tough to swallow for me.
