Sorry that she has such a problem with it, could you try one that takes the temp in the ear.
After she has the pups you will need to take the temp to make sure no infection is starting from the birthing process.

How good are you to hear her move if you take a quick nap. Can you sleep next to her.
If you can get some rest now would be great. Can some one else watch her while you nap for a few hours.
Mine like to have them after midnight not all just most.

Labour generally begins 12 to 24 hours after the bitch's temperature drops.
