All users should see it if it affects PDB. I see it on other sites (mostly streaming sites) but never here. IDK. All I can say is please if anyone sees it on this site, take a screenshot and the page you see it on and either post it here or send it in a PM.

I haven't gotten the Flash player pop-up, but I do keep getting these damn auto-run video ads [which are a PIA because they are devourig my bandwidth out here in the middle of nowhere where satellite net access is pricey], and when I stop them from running, it get the pop up shown below [which I always deny, for as much good as that does to keep them from running the next time]:

[It's not a very clear screen shot, I know, but the box says 'video.selindo.com is requesting permission to store information on your computer']

I have been getting auto. video-ads for a couple of weeks, they only seem to appear on here;

one is a vid about how to teach a Westie to shake hands, or some such.  Others seem less

'dog-related'.

Also lately I keep getting all sorts of crap ads interupting web use NOT PDB,  but where

posters say they are mainly re Flash,  'mine' say I need new drivers, or my Adobe reader needs

updating, and that I need updates for Java.  Some lock my screen up.  B. nuisance.  As my

security stuff keeps saying my computer is OK after scanning, all threats detected etc, I

have assumed this is just a modern advertising technique, rather than something wrong, like

a trojan or whatever ?  First started with a locked-screen full page 'warning' that I had been

looking at child-porn sites and had to pay a fine !  Came out of nowhere while I was researching

knitting patterns Teeth Smile [and no of course I hadn't been ! Ever !]  Realised it was a scam and eventually

freed the 'puter from its grip;  but it was after that I started getting all these other interuptions.  ???

Recently changed both computer and security prog,  so a bit innocent about current advertising

abilities online !

"Knitting patterns." Uh-huh. Omg SmileTeeth Smile

I just got it again as soon as I logged into PDB. I have been on and off the computer all morning car shopping and within seconds of logging in here, I couldn't navigage. I copied the address: http://easycomputerinstaller.info/f3/18a64ab7fa5e2b3a8ed93909a01851e6/?subid=3f745abaf0f418871e8bf759ab30744d&transaction_id=bdf3c286-7e34-4155-af47-47c1f8cc0589&rand=5468e6471e606&source=mbs-f3

What ad position are you seeing this in? Where on the page? All ads I have looked at have been adchoice ads. Is the adchoices symbol in the upper right corner? Can you take a screenshot?

If you're talking to me, Admin, it's the entire screen, just as Dawulf showed the screen shot of. I took a screen shot, then realized the web address had changed and copied it, so I lost my screen shot.

IMHO, this is malware that has infected your computer. Try the free version of malwarebytes.org and scan your computer. If you like it buy the premium version and block malicious sites in real time.

I've had Malwarebytes for years...it says my computer is clean.

The thing is those websites aren't advertisers here. And being they are pop-ups well they can come from anywhere. Have you updated malwarebytes? The ads Oli uses aren't full page pop-ups they are built into the webpage. And do not open another window on loading the site.
