Well Phil I will agree with you on one thing. My only nack on the Contes d'Hoffman dogs is, for the most part, they are bigger and slower than I like. However in the breeding of the pup I am getting the female will hopefully off set that a bit.

I am not sure how many Contes D'Hoffman dogs you have seen but they are hardly "nervy" and usually have HUGE grips. They are also well known for there ability to withstand  extreme pressure from both handler and decoy so again, they are hardly "nervy" Being out here on the west coast, i have been able to see quite a few of them.

Villier seems to be much different from the "standard" of Contes D'Hoffman dogs. He has a little more active aggression than I have seen and yes his grips are not the greatest. But as Dave pointed out, that may have come from his foundation training, I am sure you know many FR trainers do not train grips.

As for the blue gene, it is a recessive and it is pretty well known were it comes from in most malinios, either Stan or Rambo van Rossum so pretty easy to breed away from.

On that note Phil, can you name a few of the better known Malinios is the states that you DO care for that are not from your kennel? You always seem to be negative or point our the negatives in all dogs but yours.

Here is another video of Endor not so "stressed" funny how a good strong dog, even when "extreme measures" are taken change once they understand what is expected of them........Gotta love that entry on the long bite

Being as I don't do the Ring Sports any longer, how a dog bites on a suit is not a concern.  Show me the speed and full grips on a trial sleeve.  To date, I haven't seen it.  Show me some fast retrieves and up beat obedience, show me some tracking.  Don't tell me,,,,show me.  What I have seen is big, red, slow and short gripping.  A Malinois I like???  I'll name one, Master de Alphaville Bohemia.  I gave my opinion on what I have seen, you have a different opinion, good for you.  You want to buy the dog with your money??  Good for you, good luck with that.  You don't like my dogs???   Good for you, you're not feeding them.  My suggestion, if/when I have another litter, don't buy one.

Phil, Not trying to add fuel to the fire, but as a Sch person myself, what dogs/lines should I look at in Malinois? Why not just look at Ivans litters? They seem to produce. Like I said, I'm not trying to start a fight, just want to learn.

Actually, I had a dog from Ivan (http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/dogs/belgian_malinois/pedigree/631031.html ).  I sold him.  If you really would like to know why, send me a PM.

I like the stability of the German lines and the speed of some of the stuff that's coming out of the Eastern European countries.  Some of the NVBK dogs are huge grippers but lack some of the speed and flashiness that is required these days for SchH.  IMO, the Malinois should have a reckless, no fear attitude and come like a rocket on the long bite.
