This is no HE said She said...

The dog is ok and the dog will not be pts or in confinement...Dog had a current rabies tag and is safe.
The injuries to lady were minor and not life threatening.

"I was once serving as an expert witness in a court hearing where guy was attacked by his wife and dog went into protection mode and bit her."

Really? What was the court case? Names of the parties? Case number? Location of the case? Did the man go to the hospital for treatment? Did the wife repeatedly drag him back into the house when he tried to escape? Did the police charge the wife with felony aggravated battery, unlawful restraint, obstructing justice, and domestic battery?

No wonder women are so terrified to leave physically abusive relationships! Lee's take on this is "they had a dispute." Yours is "people lie--maybe she attacked him." With hostile attitudes like this to deal with, I now understand a lot better why so many women are too frightened to leave their abusers. They'll just be accused of lying and beating up their husbands, even if the wife ended up in the hospital and the husband was charged with felony aggravated battery and multiple other crimes.

It's interesting to see the Jonathan Richard defense team shaping up.

YR, thanks for the update. Glad to hear that the dog will be OK. Was the dog Olex?

If the woman's injuries were minor and she was able to escape from the dog, it appears that the dog didn't want to do what he was ordered to do and dealt with it by doing a half-ass job (good for the dog!). (Or the dog was just incompetent as a protection dog.)

Wait until the truth comes out regarding who did what to whom.   Just like the Tiger Woods' case, the story keeps evolving every day.

susanandthek9s, you act as if you were there. Where you? Pretty emotional for an outsiders view looking in, I think. People are trying to be realistic. Sure this guys a douchbag but it doesn't mean he is guilty, this time. Some people want the truth, facts, not emotions. A few people stepping back to see the full picture, isn't going to make him innocent if he is guilty, so take a chill pill and wait for the court ruling.

I'm very interested in seeing how this turns out.  I certainly hope this woman has left this guy and never plans on returning.  I'm wiling to bet this wasn't the first time that a domestic assault has happened with this guy.  I too would like to know the whole story behind this, usually the press screws things up royally in their reporting.  I don't doubt for a minute that this happened. This guy needs to be prosecuted.

Susan,
there are many reasons why woman don't leave abusive relationships.  It always astonishes me.  I read a statistic that most woman don't call for help until they have been abused about 7 times on average.  Domestic violence laws have gotten much stricter in recent years.  In my state we are bound to make an arrest if we see any signs of bruises, cuts, scrapes, etc.  The primary aggressor is the one who is supposed to get arrested.  Years ago if there was a blow out fight between a husband and wife, boyfriend - girlfriend and both parties actively fought each other we used to arrest both of them.  If we could not determine who started the altercation and neither party would cooperate.  The only thing this accomplished was to seperate both parties for a few hours and give them time to cool off.  This way they didn't kill each other.  Now, we have to determine who actually started the physical altercation and that is who goes to jail.  A person who defends themselves from an aggressor and wins the fight, may have less injuries but also may not be to blame.  This can be very difficult because in a large percentage of these calls no one will give you the whole story.  There are many reasons that people don't want to cooperate,, they don't want their spouse arrested because they are afraid or don't want to risk the loss of income, for example.

This case sure sounds pretty cut and dry.  The fact that he dragged her back into the house is in a sense similar to kidnapping and seems he was charged in a similar fashion.  I'm glad the woman is ok and I hope she follows through with the prosecution.  One thing I learned a long time ago is to get written statements form everyone involved on scene or at the hospital.  It is funny how some one's memory can change duing a trial.  With a written statement the prosecution is much easier and people can't change their story as easily.

Please keep us updated with the details.

Maybe susan is being smacked around at her home, or she is doing the smacking around that's why she went into defense here ;) lol. What would be a reason for Hans to lie, as well I don't think he needs to give you that kind of info lol. Hans is right there is always a chance of that, do you know that there is more man being smacked around by women than guys smacking around women? Guys just never report it ;) lol. I seen quite few times my friends getting smacked around by their wife shit I got smacked around by my wife on more than one occasion, I never went to police though but I am surre if I would smacke her (not that I would, my father tought me well to not hit womens no matter what) she would run to cops and reporting my ass lol ;). And no I am not deffending the duche bag I don't care for what he did he should be put to sleep. Only cowards hit, hurt womens.

I assure you that I am not lying about being expert witness. It was in Phoenix AZ. That is all what I am going to tell YOU and here  about it. I have just said that people lie. Who said that he drug her into the house several times? Any witnesses? Did YOU see it?   I have witnessed several different situations and then read about it in the news papers and story was completely different. Just the statement that the guy trains "attack" dogs is stupid. ATTACK dogs! Give me a physical brake. That was really unbiased reporter who have written that.  Now I am not saying that it did not happened the way it is described and if it did then the guy should fry. All I am saying is that dog may have bitten her in the heat of the argument and fight  and that I have been expert witness in similar case and I have testified that it could,  BASED ON DOGS PSYCHOLOGY, HAPPEN that way. That is that the dog went to automatic protection mode.  Even in the case I was involved I did not know the actual truth. Guy was on probation and in the end he went back to prison.

I think you should take a deep breath and again read what I have actually said .  I am talking about the dog psychology.
More level headed approach on your part would be more credible. Instead you attack me like a mentally not very well balanced person.
