Steph:    Prayers for your healing., Unbelievable that this has happened to such a wonderful girl...Try to relax and rest, stress keeps you from healing.   We are all behind you and am so sorry this happened...YOU ARE TOUGH. You should get one of those  Aid Alert Buttons that people who live alone wear, as too far from help up where you work....

Stay strong and pray for your brother and family.

Steph,

Check with your homeowner's insurance agent.  It may be different in Montana, but in Kansas, if you have a homeowner's policy on your house, any property you own is covered.  Hopefully that is the case up there and your friend's insurance will cover it.  Hang in there!  Listen to your doctor and get lots of rest while your brother is there to help out.

Steph,
I am so sorry to hear about your accident. It so upsets me to think that you are going through this awful ordeal. I know you are a survivor and will get through this though. What a blessing it is that you have your brother to help you at this time.  You will remain in my prayers for a speedy recovery and total restoration of your vision.
Many hugs,
Char

She is more than lucky!  If you could see the damage you would know someone was watching over her and guided her into the house, to the phone and directed her fingers in dialing a friend for help.  Truly amazing that she is able to be here with us at all.

Hi Steph,

I just wanted to write and tell you that I am sorry to hear of your accident...The only time I was on a horse, was about the time that the lady who owned the ranch got bucked into a fence and broke a bunch of bones, ending up in the hospital.  I am praying for you to have a speedy recovery.  Please take care of yourself, and I'm glad that you have help with all the dogs.

Don't be worrying about Oakley...I've been in East Moline, Illinois, with my father, who is ill, for the past three weeks, short notice.  I don't have any new photos to post right now...I'll be going home next Saturday about midday...Flying out of Chicago at 5 AM.  I'll get some nice pics after I get there...I'd have my hubby get some and email them to me, but I've got access to the internet when I'm down at my aunt's in Missouri, like right now; I've got the digital camera with me, and he doesn't have any way to take pictures for me.
I'll get you all updated when I can.  I didn't plan this trip!

OMG! Our database heroes have been in the line of fire lately! First Hodie, now Steph! I've had 2 serious concussions in my life, the first with a skull fracture when I fell off a horse & hit my head on a cavaletti...I got back on the horse & rode the rest of the afternoon (at horse camp when I was 10) but I was actually blacked out...I have no memory of anything after getting back on the horse, it wasn't until we had dismounted & were leading the horses back to the barn that I 'woke up' & asked why I was all dirty?, where was I?, that it dawned on the instructors that I might need medical attention....turned out I had fractured my left temple....good thing I was wearing hard hat! The next time was not too long ago, Kali (my WGSL girl) was not quite a year old, I was taking her out on a long leash, she got on the other side of my front door & jumped up on it, swinging it open forcefully...I was on the other side....whack! right in the face! I was unconscious for a couple of hours, & she stayed right with me, protecting me....I was out of work for 2 weeks, the doctor wasn't happy about letting me go back then, saying your brain needs more time to heal.....so that's why I'm the way I am.....LOL!

Please take it easy & rest, you need it....I wish I could get there to help! I'm sending my prayers & positive energy! Put salt in your shoes...an Indian medicine man told me to do that once, it keeps you from picking up other peoples problems through your feet, 'cause once you get them, they cause you trouble....you don't need any more trouble! God bless you! jackie harris
