It has been so nice to see healthy, happy puppies for the litter pictures. The adults have been well cared for too. Everyone my hat is off to you. Congrates.
Always,

The ticks,
I use the chemicals, Frontline, Kennel Dip, and Permanone for me.    Except on Midnite since she gave birth, she doesn't get into the woods much right now and I have to look her over carefully each time she does.   The Mosquitoes are a problem tho and I do keep her on Interceptor while she's nursing.
To walk in the woods here you either use the chemicals or fuel as the loggers use.  Or you pick them off later.
There are places I can go where the ticks aren't so bad along the river and public places in town but I can pick up ticks in my own front yard.  Its very woodsy here with lots of wild life, goes with the territory.

Feeding them a mix of two dry dog foods when the time comes.   My base food is a high protein food made locally, (Sports Trail) not a national brand and I will mix a large breed puppy food to that to increase fat content.  I mash it wet with a potato masher and later I add whatever I have handy, salmon, cheese, eggs, sometimes ground beef.

Mom is looking for a Ground Squirrel in that hole, but a Lizard will do.   Its under an old stump and the Coons like to mark it also.  None of my three can pass up a hole or a hollow log.

I have two spoken for, six more to go.  Haven't heard yet from the sires owner but Its early yet.  Several folks missed out last time and will contact me through him.
Keep thinking about it Crys....:)

Pharaoh

The puppies are looking great Moons.  Midnite looks nice and shiny.

I just love the sprawling puppy pile.  Makes me really want a puppy, but, not until Punky Puppy Boy Pharaoh is more civilized.  He is really high drive and high energy.

Paleperson,
Thats my wife holding the puppies head up moron.
This is the last time I will exchange remarks with you as I have seen you before and know what you are doing.
I may even have a good idea of who you are, thats why I can forgive you.  I know you have problems.
Consider this farewell and don't take it too badly if I don't really care about you.
This character your using is just not worthy of anything more.

And yes,
I do wear my wife's pantie hose, makes me feel like I am dancing on a breeze.  Keeps me frisky....:)

The rest you'll just have to figure out on your own.

Cute puppies Moons, I love the smell of puppy breath and up till they are about 4 months old...lol...I had 2 rescue litters here last summer, both in the house...one not expected...22 rolling balls of fur all over...I loved it, I was in seventh heaven...
about 2 weeks apart also...
It was worth it though, they all went to great homes...I love the puppies just like everyone else...wish they would stay puppies longer though...
Send more photos of them, I would love to see...
Thanks, Steph

Try Pennyroyal iol for mosquitos, ticks and fleas, it is a natural oil from the health food store. When I lived in Minnesota, I made a cotton rope collar and soaked it in the Pennyroyal oil...worked wonders...and it doesn't smell too bad...

Kalibeck

Moons, beautiful pups!  My older female can not pass up a hole either....she is absolutely certain something evil lives in them, & must dig them out, stick her head in them (I discourage this, we've a lot of skunks & porcupines around!), & otherwise disturb them unless directed not to! Good luck!

Steph....22! All at once! That sounds like a cure for puppy-itis, tho' I know of no permanent cure! LOL! jh

I admit we do have skunks but so far these dogs avoid them, a porcupine would be bad.
The only thing I worry about is maybe a poisonous snake, we have them too.
