Oh yeah improve the showline first and they maybe you think about changing the original true GSD!

The Schutzhund at the seiger shows is just a game of tug and war. The dog is not in defense or fight mode when its biting the sleeve! Is that what you call work?

Again, call me clueless or ignorant, ive stopped caring!

Videx you are right in the seiger events all the dogs do have to do the test but there is no premium as to how well they do it so why the need for grading and points in your conformation test

When I see dogs like this winning at premier Germanic shows in the UK, I will maybe believe the breed is coming together.

reason: simply because ALL the qualified dogs should compete. The points will be added to their scores. That way CONFORMATION becomes a factor. The three diciplines, tracking, obedience and protection, quite rightly dominate the scores. You will now see how reasonable and realistic my proposal is.

I am beginning to think some in the Working GSD side lack ambition and the determination to develop the ideal GSD.

Note he is V graded for conformation, and a V grade should be a recognised plus when such a dog competes in National and International Working Trials. Fero and many others prove it can be achieved, it simply requires an effective incentive to breeders and owners of the Working GSD. My proposal clearly provides that incentive.

Is everyone forgetting somthing? Working trials are for every dog who can work, regardless of type, color, size, structure, or even breed (or lack thereof) ! Are you all forgetting a dog MUST have acceptable structure to obtain a korklasse? Even the "ugly working dogs" must stand before a judge to obtain liscense to breed! As a showline enthusiast, I know too well we have enough problems on OUR side of the fence without telling the working people what to do. When our Seiger shows are chock full of truly courageous workers, when show line outnumber working lines at at the BSP and other national working events, maybe THEN we will have justification for being so self righteous.
