Plain and simple...if the dog DOESN'T fall into Breed STANDARD>.....DON"T BREED IT!!!
There are faults...don't breed them. White is a fault..a coat is a fault...
We should have the goal..Breed for the BETTERMENT of the breed!!!

Have you noticed that since there are all these American Dogs being are being registered, that The Pedigree Data Base is having problems! Not only have they ruined the American Shepherd, they are going to ruin this Data Base for others around the world! These mediocre dogs, (no fault of theirs), have nothing in common with the dogs around the world. The American Shepherd (American Lines) is a Yugo, compared to the REAL German Shepherds worldwide! (A Mercedes Benz.).

Dawn, you asked why does the GSDCA hate Fred. Apparently he was suspended from the AKC for "trafficking dogs" at an AKC show. He supposedly placed a small ad for a dog for sale from another breed on the judges table for a minute and the AKC made a big deal out of it like he was trying to peddle dogs while judging. Fred is still an SV judge I believe. And yes, he likes good GSDs in general and has imported several very nice ones from Germany.

The Breeders have done alot worse. Just look at these poor animals. They are proud of the dogs they have bred? It makes me ill, what they have done!
