As someone else already pointed out, there is no vaccine for tapeworm. There is a vaccine for giardia, but it is not as effective as one might wish. Secondly, if she had a tapeworm, it is very possible that she has another or had such a high burden of tapeworm that the medication did not kill them all, or the med was given in the wrong part of the life cycle for some of the organism. The best advice is to take a fresh stool sample to a vet and have it checked again. A healthy dog should not need probiotics (a fancy word for certain bacteria and enzymes), but some active culture yogurt won't hurt if there has been some parasite or other problem in the past. If you fed 6 cups a day and the dog was still thin, the best guess is that the dog STILL has some parasitic or other infection. Not one of my 80 pound males gets that much a day. Certainly it is too much for a young pup. Clear up the parasite issue and the food you feed will probably be fine.

i've already ordered safeguard and i'm thinking to try that.

i also reduced her diet to four cups a day.

before she had vaccine she was looking thin but looks fine these days to me. yes vet told me its for tapeworm but i'd no idea whether there is vaccine for tapeworm or not.

let me try that safeguard and see how it does for her.

thanks. i'm feeding her our yogurt alternately for last two weeks or so.

 

i think i'll keep stick with innova until now see what happens after i do treatment as i'm thinking to switch to eagle pack.

but i  like this innova that it has been doing great on her.
