Church  is not a building nor a big place you need to be bragging about.  THe church is the body of believers of Jesus Christ and  He is the bridegroom and we are His bride.   The Church is a foundation with Jesus as the ROCK not sand.
         

A church is built for the body to worship in.. You do not need a building, you just need bodies to come together to break bread and worship.

Churches are today , yes, buildings bigger than a mountain and too many put the emphasis on the BUILDING they build to call their CHURCH...

Not  true at all...that building is nothing and means nothing.  We all say we belong to a CHURCH...actually we belong to a body of believers who by Faith call themselves a name other than Christian..like  Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, Lutheran  etc.
one day , for sure,   "Every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God; "  Romans 14 : 11

Ph 2:10    at the name of Jesus, not allah , nor Baal, nor any other name,  every knee shall bow, of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth  and that every tongue should confess the Jesus Christ is Lord , to the glory of God the Father.....    do not need a church building for that.

So then why be ashamed of the church/faith.

Why not just answer the question?

If it is preached all day might it not help us to better understand?

I figure if someone can walk around talking about religion, then they should be prepared that someone might ask.

Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Right on YR.  The amount of money being spent on buildings is horrendous.  Also, Jesus wants nothing to do with Religion.

One more thing every religion is tied back to it's church or church's so in a way the church becomes a symbol of the religion.

I say if you walk around acting all high and mighty at least put in an appearance to worship with like minded people together spreading the joy and love. It seems against the principles of worship to always worship alone.

I have had 2 user names and the only reason I have this one is Beetree asked me to change it. I would still be GTR if it did not become a problem with a few here.

I would also guess you have multiple user names? After all you are the one who told me in a pm about how people keep books on there characters.

2 users Moons that is it. GTR and SP that is it.

I wish I could understand half of the posts - I guess a different type of English really is written/spoken in the US...........
