I'm glad we train for this. The people who pull their dogs aside and refuse to train with other dogs on the field because they think they have a real bada** on their hands... well... a lot of them don't have have quite the "monster" that they think they have. ;)
I wish some of those folks I've seen would spend as much time training their dogs as they do making excuses for bad behaviors. LOL
I gotta thank Phyllis for making us do the "close proximity" training. She's done us all a favor by making us prepared for this kind of stuff, even though we should never see this in a SchH trial. I hope other folks do this kind of stuff too. It SUCKS to be paired in a trial with a dog aggressive dog!

Just curious -- are the owners/handlers that actually had dogs in the SS complaining, or is it just the people on this Forum who did not have a dog in the Show who are doing all the complaining and talking of filing a complaint?

You raise an excellent point. I think we have all had the feeling of dread at the thought of being paired up with a known dog-aggressive dog during a trial. People who train do train for those "hope- it -doesn't -happen" situations, whether that is an aggressive dog during a trial, or a bitch in season on (near) the trial field. Some might even call it part of the socialization done by responsible owners, whether they actively train for schutzhund/obedience/herding/Ring, etc., or not.

You are also saying that in my almost 30 years of training working dogs that I don't know when a dog is physically breaking down from exhaustion? This basically is a separate issue that Johannes should answer for to the other people in the VA category.
Are you willing to stand up in a court of law and under oath, swear that Eddie Calderon did not get bit by his (your) dog Titan after his 2nd outburst of aggression? I know that by this time this comes to fruition, the wounds will be healed and it would take a team of forensic experts to prove the wounds origin with an accurate time stamp so it's up to other witnesses to corroborate my story otherwise it's your (and Eddie's) word against mine and I know he would back you to the nth degree.

Guess if you would read their posts seems like they came from people that were at SS.
I'm also curious you can put down schHbabe, were you there or your dog there. do you do any training.
are you with Mittelwest we saw her video on youtube, I'd love to join really great training.
think speach was total crook of shit.
think many well known and respected breeders like crhuerta were there and complained about what they saw and experienced at the show.
