As everyone can see above, there are some in the human race, that have a very long way to go to reach even the most basic level of morals and principles, that could most reasonably be expected from anyone, to be even remotely described as a civilised human being, fit to live within human society. Some aspects of the government policy "care in the community" certainly place burdens on many of us. Perhaps the particular "entities" above, simply fail to take their required medication. Whatever the reason, sympathy, understanding and patience is called for, and of course the absolute necessity to ignore their ranting and raving comments.

It dosen't offend me in the slightest but you have been very rude towards Beeby who started this thread for a very good reason. 

This thread has had it's ups and downs but in the end we were all marching to the same drum.  Now, I ask you is all this really necessary and if so please take it to another thread.

And before you ask I have never nor will I ever be DP's biggest fan but he has contributed well to this thread and in the end has done all the work for us.

Funky Munky, JJ, Astute, this thread was never about personalities... clearly you have a poor opinion of DP... deserved or not?  I don't know!  I'm interested in trying to do the best possible for Shepherds.  What's your interest here?

Why did you fail to "say" something earlier, indeed why have you failed to contribute atall?  If DP is as bad as you "say"... have the courage to tell him to his face, don't inflict this crud on all of us, especially now!

Astute, you sound like an angry, bitter person, if you have reason, this is no place for it!

JJ, if you're smart enough to post your "asses", you're surely smart enough to have contributed something useful sooner.

Is that it?  Do you all think that we may be getting somewhere and resent that DP wrote it?  It's the end result that matters... this is your breed too... yes? 

Well said Jess.  I have gone up against David on other threads, however when I posted Videx - why dont you formulate and put forward the suggestion?   David said no, and it was only after several members including myself continued asking that the template was put forward and the majority have agreed with it.  The template includes the majority of the suggestions that have been put forward by the different members of this thread and compiled in a manner that we hope will be acceptable for the breed council and the KC.

Lets hope that any negativity does not stop the momentum that this thread has gathered, and that people understand that David has never met me or know who I am!  I have my own opinions and will continue to post them on this board and they will probably oppose many of those who I have agreed with on this thread.

However I do want the breed to improve in mind and body health and to be a breed that I can be proud of the in the future.

you have obviously not read the post correctly by astute.You seem to me to fueled by Dp but have little knowledge of the GSD breed or its welfare at all

Look at DP's track record,it is excellent at getting the videx website in the spotlight and not much else

Astute in my opinion hit the nail on the head when refering to you few as the magnificent seven,if you actually read his last statement you would realise that he has the breeds welfare at heart and is probobly anonomous because he is not interested in free advertising for his kennel

It is quite obvoious and i am sorry to say that it seems that you have little knowledge in the GSD breed / history and you are following nothing more than a peid piper, i have no doubt that your intentions are honerable but (check out the guys track record)

I would reiterate what was said by astute, you are a MINORITY   who at best will only succeed in splitting the breed into more fractions than it already is

missbeeb lets get one thing straight i have nothing against anyone on this thread!!!! I have been reading this from the start and agree with most of what has been proposed.I said i agree somewhat with astute,ie we are a small minority.Now there is 3 generations in my family involved in GSD's,i myself have been there all my life,how many times do you think i have heard about the need for changes?I have lost count,and nothing is ever done,i hope this time you succeed,i truly do.I did all my talking and challenging the KC years ago but they were not interested.I will now leave it to you young folks,and wish you well. liz

I too have heard it all before... many times but what makes this time different, is the BBC programme, it gives us a real chance.  Why can't you help?

Peggy, I think I'm simply sorry for you.  Most of us are "unknown" on here, we don't advertise our dogs/kennels.  Have you read the posts?

If you are such a fountain of knowledge, why have you contributed nothing?

I don't care about DP or Videx, I care about "our" chosen breed and its' future!  What about you?  So far, all you've managed to contribute is nastiness and bad feeling... that'll help... the world needs more Gollums!!
