nothing wrong with PTS as well but that's really should be only as a last resort, which in this case doesn't sound like.

It mystifies me as to why people would keep a dog like that because personally, I do not and will not ever walk around my own house on egg shells, wondering when this dog will go off nor would I have any family members be in danger of being bitten by the house dog.

jettasmom - if i was single, childless I would discuss it with the op. Aren’t you the one with 10-20-30K in medical bills for your chronically sick dog? Some may think your effort is not worth it either.
OP asked for an alternative to euthanasia. I provided a logical and legal suggestion: a private security company which may be interested in such a dog (human aggressive with documented, unprovoked prey, defense, dominant, antisocial bites on passive humans).
Are these companies so crass they feed ol’roy, expose their dogs to the harsh elements and urban blight? Maybe so.
My suggestion was just that. It was a fair one and I stand by it.

other circumstances, just not as a family pet that requires interacting with the public.

Its not like the dog is walking around all day looking for trouble. Its just those limited circumstances in which the dog is willing to bite a member of the house hold.

K9L1, I understand but still no deal in my house.

Lol you have or had a dog that bites your family and to you that’s ok, WOW. Like I said you take the OP’s dog since your fine with a dog that bites your family members
Unbelievable!!!!! Oh wait you would take the dog if you were single and no kids..... your all over the place.

Aside from the allergic dog issue, I stand by each and every one of my posts in this thread.
