Including quite a good Working sable, owned by a one-time Trainer I knew, so somebody was mixing lines already, in that case ! As I've said before, lines are not so demarcated on this side of the Pond. I suppose one has to respect the breeder's viewpoint on not mixing lines on your would-be chosen stud if thats how they feel; but it is a shame, because I agree with what you are saying.

Anyhow, I don't want to turn this into a discussion.
The new male I have has quite a bit of Fero in him, however, I love everything about this dog. His structure, temperament, strong nerve, civil aggression yet he's safe and stable. His hunt drive, sociability, just everything about this dog is absolutely perfect. I'm going to use him myself for my little black female and it'd give us a 5-5 Fado Karthago :)

Baer..discuss away!! I don't mind hearing about the crossing of lines...both good and bad.
My bitch is pretty much DDR with a tiny splash of west and Czech far back. I bred her to a DDR male and kept one daughter. I would like to outcross her for her last daughter.

I bred my Czech male to a strong showline female once and produced a good competing female, having that said, the rest of the litter was good to keep a sofa warm
if you want to outcross pedigree would be helpfull to see witch lines NOT to mention

Off topic, but I saw Gildo in Munich (?) in the 80s, guess it was 87, Barenfang may remember, although at that time she must have been pretty young. I remember the campground and a LOT of rain...

Susie, Showlines in 1980 when Marko still had influence, Mutz still had major influence, X litter Kirschental, and Quanto wasn't diluted was worse that SL dogs today?
Okay, if you say so...lol.
Btw, I had dogs out of all those dogs above, during that period of time, and bred those dogs I had and I never realized that although they appeared sound to me especially in structure and working temperament, they were not as good as SL dogs of today.
I am out of this discussion....
