Buying dogs from Europe - Page 3

Susie, once again, please read my posts!
Am I talking about countries or am I talking about importing a dog better than you can find near you!? And I mean importing from wherever you want! From Japan, if you like, but only being better than others! And, for now, ( and I am sorry I have to repeat that ), you'll find the best GSD's in Germany!
It is a fact, whatever are we talking here!
Anyway, let's finish the discussion here. Each one of us has her/his point of view...

Remus,I can ask you something,did you ever go to any shows here in USA,did you ever shown own dog here ? Believe me I saw shows on both side of the pond,and I tell you We have some really good dogs here and if they were shown in Germany they would do very well there.I am not patriotic like you said ,I also came to this country long time ago and I am only saying the facts and my personal observations.Look at the BSZS results over last few years and compare how many US dogs were placed in first ring in each classes and how many from Eastern European Countries.This is only fraction of the best US dogs shown at the show.Because of the travel cost,all other expenses not many breeders can afford that,but believe me more dogs would do very well at the show if had the chance to be there.Like Susie said "The sun don't rise only in Germany'' maybe to novice like yourself.How about Asia,Western Europe,especially Italy,where you have some of the best dogs in the world,and all together even more than in Germany right now.Yes I agree breeding to best dogs in Germany will improve the quality in your Country ,and you'll make a step forward,but the others because they have better breeding stock will make 2 steps forward,and you'll never be able to catch up with them,unless you import some top females from Germany,Italy and few other Countries I mention before,and start from a scratch,and I can hardly believe dogs from Easter Europe can improve anything here in USA.HERE ARE SERIOUS BREEDERS AND THEY SPEND TONS OF MONEY BRINGING THOSE TOP DOGS HERE. I am small breeder but only import dogs from Germany,because I always try to improve my breeding program. I also have family there and I know few breeders,so that make this much easier to me then to someone who don't have any connections,and I believe that there are still top dogs,are they the best can't tell. Beside I don't know about any good showline kennel,which show,train,breed dogs here in USA which imported any dogs from Eastern European Countries and use them for breeding.I am not trying to offend anyone but I write what I see and feel.

Next one; you are admitting few US dogs are going to Germany Sieger because of the travel cost but...you are asking me if I shown in the States!? Are you serious!?

Last one: you are keep talking about how bad are the females back here! Is this one, in your opinion, a bad female?

(and all 5 of my dogs have similar pedigrees. I can prove it!)

 

Pedigree is important,but everything,not every puppy from same litter will be top show or bread worthy even if they have all VA dogs behind,temperament,health issues,and few other facts decide later. The female you showing me does nothing to impress me,and she would not have a chance to compete here.I sell some much better puppies to pet homes where people don't show,breed,train,they just want beautiful,confident friendly pet.

Are these, in your ''pro'' opinion, bad females?
Because I am only a novice, you said...

Old Shatterhand, I am just saying this: in several shows, with SV judges, they asked the handler to make a honor round with that female which is not impressing you for ''everybody to see how a GSD should look like''! But what I know, that judge is only a novice either!

I DON'T SEE THE JUDGE,WHAT HAPPENED HE DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE A PICTURE WITH THIS FEMALE ?????

What I see you have is. Females with no hips elbows done,some even few generations back.None of the females is title (couple are too young anyway ) no temperament tests.Bottom of the pedigree is very weak on all of them,and just nothing else I can tell you.This is my opinion,and I would never buy a dog from breeder like you.But this is me and if others are buying from you then God Bless Them. I think the pissing contest is done,I have to go now.This all all Susie's fault ,why did you post this thread Susie and got me involve in it,what I have done to you ??????????
