Russian military forces are reportedly ending their exercises on Ukraine’s eastern border.

The order to return to base has come from the Russian President Vladimir Putin but a NATO source says there has been no movement suggesting they are halting manoeuvres.

Nonetheless, the Kremlin says it has invited Kyiv to order its forces to do the same and wants to “redefine relations.” The move comes ahead of Sunday’s presidential vote in Ukraine and could be aimed at easing tensions.

Meanwhile, Moscow has also repeated its demand that Kyiv end what Russia calls a “punitive operation” against separatist rebels.

There has been heavy fighting in Slovyansk where pro-Russian militants have been engaged with Ukraine National Guard members.

Scores of volunteers have rallied to join the force after Ukraine’s interim president said many eastern regions are now effectively lawless, without any police.

Gouda, Russia will be defeated, but not before they trample and devour much flesh themselves.  America being one of those - at least according to one's interpretation, whom I happen to agree with.  :)

What do you think will happen?

Ever notice how we don't care if we are  laughted at?  That's because we will laugh last, although, we probably in truth won't be laughing.  What is to come isn't the least bit funny.

Red Sable,

what is to come?

There will always be fools to laugh at, even in the worst of times, it helps one cope this laughter, and is vital to ones survival, not caring only makes it that much more meaningful and valid.

I gave it eight minutes .........LOL

And thanks once more for yet another good laugh.

It's gotten to where you can't even throw a rock around here without one of you whooping out your bible.

Russia is not our enemy for starters, they are only one of our many competitors but you guys go on believing all the spin and illusion.

Sthal,

Yahoo, Biden, the hits just keep on coming, is Hovind in there somewhere too?

I gotta admit guys, I did see this coming, it's never been hard to do.

Two Moons.

Russia and China sign historic $400bn gas deal.

Energy pact a boost for Russian leader in face of US sanction threats over Ukraine crisis.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and China's President Xi Jinping at a ceremony in Shanghai to sign a long-awaited gas deal with state-controlled Gazprom.

Russia's President Vladimir Putin has pulled off a major political coup by securing a landmark $400bn (£236bn) gas agreement with China, a move that will come as a blow to US efforts to isolate the Kremlin.

Few details were available for the deal - one of the world's biggest energy pacts - but state-owned China National Petroleum Corp said that it had signed a 30-year agreement to buy up to 38bn cubic metres a year of gas from 2018.

The deal is a coup for Mr Putin as he seeks to open up new markets for Russian gas as the US prepares to begin exporting to Europe, currently Russia's main market. It also sees Russia move closer to Beijing at a time when the Kremlin is a loggerheads with the US over the political situation in Eastern Ukraine following its annexation of Crimea.

"This is indeed a historic event for the gas sector of Russia and of the Soviet Union," Mr Putin was reported by Reuters to have said after the deal was signed. "This is the biggest contract in the history of the gas sector of the former USSR."

A new pipeline linking Siberia's gas fields to China's main coastal cities will be built as part of the agreement and Russia plans to invest $55bn in exploration and pipeline construction.
