I can't say if I would use it or not! Depends on the bag size, price and ingredients. I like to take several small bag and read them next to eachother at the store when I decide on a food.

It is available all over Florida, not sure where else..???I like what I've read and am torn between that and RC or DVPs natural balance ultra prem...Want the best for the dog but don't want to spend more than is really needed...Sounds like a premium kibble with some raw is the way to go, am I looking for the easy way when there is no easy way by using 1 premium dog food...I do like what Timberwolf has to offer... Your thoughts on this...??? Tahks, Rob

I have been feeding my pup a combination of Timberwolf and raw for two months now and like the results. his stools are normally very small and well digested, something I didn't see on the Timberwolf alone. I like the results in his coat and muscle tone is amazing. Many of my clients feed a mixture of raw and kibble and do not have sick dogs. Thanks for everyone's responses, it is nice to see other people's experiences.

roborob~ I hear you about price. I don't want to throw $ out the window either. Thats why I read the back of the bags and compair between many brands. Some have similar or the same ingredients even, for a much different cost per bag. In the end what the dog does on the food, is my final deciding point. I'm even contemplaiting changing dog food with the seasons. Colder winter weather needs more oil in the food for coat and skin. What I have my adults on is great for them and cheap with good quality. For my puppy, I will continue to search until I find the right combo for him. I expect more out of him and am willing to put anything I have to back in, for the results I seek. Anybody used the Avo Derm food with avocado's as a main ingredient? Seems that would work well for dry skin but what about the rest of the dog? Always I have so many questions and less answers.

4Pack, Yes Timberwolf is expensive, you can go to Timberwolf.com to see what their ingredients are, its what I've been doing in trying to make the right choice...I like RC but think its a bit expensive as well...Money aside I've been looking for the "complete" dog food to give to my dogs and think I've found it in 2, one of which is Timberwolf and the other is RC, still think that Natural Balance UP is a fine food but over the top money wise...Then there is always Euk...I have never used but hear its not all that bad and reasonable...???Until someone here can convince me otherwise I'll use Timberwolf/RC in combination...I do respect what most of you have to say so please feel free, but no bashing as I have teeth too... Thanks, Rob/mrarebe@netscape.net

Rob what size bag do you get and at what $? DVP UP is 35lbs for $40. I believe and RC was 30lbs for $45. Someone quoted me $65 a bag for TW, I'm not sure I believe it's that much.

I have fed my dogs over the past 3 years with a 2 to 3 month rotation of Timberwolf, DVP Natural balance and Inova large breed (no Evo, only for pregnant females and pups up to 12 weeks old, too much protein) I add in ground beef one day, diced lamb the next, chicken wings/backs/necks the next day. I supplement with NuPro + glucosamine (1/2 a scoop) for joints. * I supplement with ¿ the recommended amount (about ¿ a scoop total per day). http://www.nuprosupplements.com/ Enzymes (1 scoop) for absorption of nutrients. http://www.dogtownusa.net/page/page/3946404.htm Grizzly Salmon Oil (1 squirt) for skin & coat. http://www.grizzlypetproducts.com/ I feed twice a day and only use the supplements with their evening feeding. Too much supplementing is also not good, the combination of raw with a high quality kibble should be more than enough. I have had GREAT results with this regiment. As soon as I see the dogs coats getting a bit dull I will switch the dry food, it usually happens after 2 to 3 months. After a week or so of the switch their coats are back to being shiny and healthy. I usually have 2 adults and 1 puppy or young adult at home. It's very hard to have them all thrive on the same feeding regiment, all dogs are different but this is what has worked best for me. * The only treats I give are frozen carrots and beef marrow bones. Hope this helps. I am always looking for ways to improve my dogs nutrition but try not get to obsessed with it, it will only drive you crazy and the dogs will suffer from to many food changes.

4Pack, 35lbs goes for around $55.00 which is very expensive which was why I wanted to know if I mixed RC kibble with it was that considered to be kibble/raw...???It is quality but like everything else, you pay for your "thrills"... Have a great day and thanks for you interest/input... Rob
