Our male was ready for his Sch3 by 21 months of age. But we are taking our time with his titles no rush. www.HeimatKennels.com

My retired female I trained from puppy to SchH3, IPO3, FH2 at 2yrs old. Her career ended with 13X SchH3. My Retired Yoschy son, a Brother of Eros v. Bruderhof, I trained from puppy to SchH3, IPO3, FH2 at 2 yrs and he retired 7X SchH3 2x FH. It can be done without the midnight trials and Santa Judges. But you have to have the right dog and the right helper. As well as the right Handler. I went through about 12 dogs before finding the right dog. Uwe

It's also likely to be a lot easier to accomplish--and accomplish *honestly*, not as a 'gift'---if the dog is located someplace where nearly every weekend offers at least one trial within a reasonable travelling distance...

I couldn't do it at this point in time but I know several people in my training group that could and have. Wish I could find some of these "midnight" trials everyone keeps referring too. Sure would make things easier. (Just a joke)

Most of the time its not that the dog cannot achieve the 3 at age two, its the fact that most people in this country can't/don't train more than once or twice a week, if that. You only get out what you put in... In Germany people often train 2, 3, 4, even 5 or 6x a week, year round with most clubs unless the snow/weather is really, REALLY BAD. There really AREN'T that many midnight trials, especially in the US. Can't speak for E. Europe, but I have only seen one AD in Germany where the dogs never came out of the trailers... It was pouring and windy and cold as a witch's teat... and the brandy and goulash in the clubhouse was War-r-rm and Fuz-z-y.
