My heart also breaks for you Shelley..
I know how much you loved that boy. And YES, rest assured he will be waiting at the Pearly Gates for you, to welcome you home, to finally have the rewards you have earned in this life through your good deeds.
I wish there was something that could be said to ease your pain...
Just know, he will be there, waiting for you.

Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. I miss him terribly, but I know in my heart he waits for me. I just hope I am good enough to deserve to meet him up there.

Hey Shelley, remember T tracking that itty bitty bit of blown off finger? He was indicating all over the place, because the bits had been blown all over?!?!

Wow! That's right! Thanks for reminding me Jackie! I just laughed my head off thinking of that day and the drunk shooters. That incident brought new meaning to the words "Trust your dog."
I brought my boy's ashes home yesterday. This will be a one-GSD household (Bijou!) till tomorrow, when my new puppy arrives at the airport.
One chapter ends; a new one begins. Little Verdi vom Sportwaffen has some big pawprints to fill, but I think he will be up to the task.

So sorry Shelley. I just saw this. I hope your new pup will be infused with a huge dose of T's spirit. He was a great dog. It was an honor to meet him.

I have been very remiss on here and just saw this.  So sorry to hear about "T".  He was a fine example for the breed and I know you miss him.  He'll be with you forever in your heart and the wonderful memories he left you with.
