AnnikasMom What do the acronyms TVS and LS/CE stand for? My dog was slow on the knuckling over too but his xrays were always good ( no narrowing or spodylosis), except for what the first vet had thought. He also got better with alot of restricting and that CMO stuff I had mentioned. Must have been something different that he had, but the symptoms sure sound the same...

TVS = Transitional Vertebrae LS = Lumbosacral Stenosis CE = Cauda Equina I think we are going to do a depo injection in the area and see how she responds before we jump into surgery...

I hope all goes well for your girl! It is a hard go... even when my boy "seemed" normal I watched him all the time. He would not just yelp at times but scream with pain and it broke my heart, so I did my best to keep him pain free...

Well, I have gained some control over myself now and am not quite so emotional... Annika is 2.5 weeks post depo-medrol injection and is still getting 5 mg of pred every other day for a couple more weeks. She has improved considerably , I am so glad I did lots of research with the Doc treating her and on my own. She is adjusting to being my little helper around the house and enjoying her time watching over her little "niece" who is now 6 months old and needs a good "Aunt" to teach her appropriate house and doggy manners, LOL. At some point she will need surgery but for now we are watching and waiting. Darlene Vom Herrenhaus German Shepherds
