We have purchased 2 dogs through add here, one from Germany and one from Netherlands.  No problems, wonderful dogs.  And new friends to top it off.

As with anything it's buyer beware.

There are many crooked and fraudlent people selling on the internet with "Excellent" websites. Most people get excited over pretty pictures and want the dog. everyone, including myself can be "had" if we are not careful; and even then can be taken advantage of. The safest way is to "SLOW DOWN" take your time do alot of research on kennels and breeders. It is good to visit a kennel but if you don't know what to look for it may not even help you much. Many people know how to show certain dogs or in protected environments to make a dog look good.

You can find excellent trustworthy breeders in the states or even importing but do your homework. tell the breeder exactly what you expect and want and if you ask for a high drive working line male then don't get mad if you don't work/train him and as he grows up you can't handle him. don't just pick "the biggest pup'  lol

I have bought a lot of dogs sight unseen. Only been disappointed a couple of times, and that was a long time ago.  Its easier to make a decision nowadays, because one can get pix and videos so easily.

I am with shelly, I have purchased alot of dogs thru this site and was not happy only twice, I of them I shipped back. The other I just delt with it, but knew I was not going back to that breeder. A few years back I think this site may have been safer to purchase from, It has gotten so big, I think there is alot more fraud on it now.

In 3 Internet transactions, I have only been unhappy with the first. It was through a broker and NEVER again. I'll talk to the one who has the dog and knows the dog. The next 2 were perfect, as good, if not better than represented. One pup I followed before birth to the day it was shipped the second was a end of the litter gamble, only 2 pups left and we weren't sure if we should hold our breaths for hope. She was great, as the breeder had promised.

I agree with the resources out there, if you know what to ask and look for, it can be pretty easy. Once you have done this a time or 2, you know who and who not to do business with!

When my beloved lab/GSD/husky mix died after 8 years of being the only stable thing in my life, I wanted to get another dog right away. Hence I hurriedly threw together what I could and rushed to get a big kennel name dog which was "satisfaction guaranteed" but sadly was too shy to work out. Soon after I found my Nenz while on the internet scanning german shepherd dog ads. I clicked on "get a german shepherd for free" and that was how I found Steve and Connie Miller, vom Haus Miller German Shepherds. A German friend misrepresented the dog he asked them to sell and it was found out after he arrived he had hip problems. I knew this when I got him but fell in love with him. He is my sweet boy, a little nervy at times but great with kids, cats, and small animals. Since my ideal dog is a pulling, packing, working dog I decided to go back to them as I was so pleased with him. My Spunky, aka Zippy vom Haus Miller has the most solid nerves of any pup I have ever had. She is an outstanding watchdog but friendly in public, housetrained quickly, and is so beautiful to see and have around.  She is also Nenz's great niece, as Ursus was his father and Yasko vom Farvenspiel is his half brother, her grandfather. People are so amazed I got Nenz for free. He is gorgeous and such a sweet boy! I highly recommend vom Haus Miller German Shepherds to everyone I talk to.........just had to put my two cents in. I love my gsd's Nenz and Spunky 4ever!
