I read it and enjoyed it too Kelly.

There is a lot more to it than what is shown in those videos. There is a lot more behind what you read in the book. We should not assume we understand what we think we see.

It is good that this man is mentioned here. It is a step towards awakening. Beware of unsubstantiated attacks. Interesting that he doesn't engage in such tactics. Food for thought.

These methods are proven. Experience it for yourself.

My dog does heel.

Fides or Fido,,,,whatever.  Was the subject of the original post not opinions?  Why then when someone gives their opinion, and it differs from yours, their's is always wrong?  If your experience, and I use the word "if", exceeds mine in terms of training dogs for PPD or Police K9 or sport or handicapped service dogs or even just pets, I will bow to your much more educated opinion and grovel at you feet.  Somehow, I think I'll still be standing.  YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST PEOPLE,,,,,,,,YOU CAN'T LEARN TO TRAIN DOGS FROM A BOOK.

DAVE KROYER:

I WILL GLADLY BUY ONE OF YOUR FAKE DOGS ANY DAY OF THE YEAR....!!

As long as you give me a scorebook already filled out and the titles ahead of time!!!   hee hee hee

DAVE:   WHY DO YOU NOT WRITE A BOOK???

I already know the answer to that question:  I would hope you would stick around and share with all the trainers here so we can  "capture some of your endless great solutions to   HARD HEADED DOGS>

Dave has worked with Myah for months , to show my friend in Galveton, how to bring Myahs hard headedness to a workable situation.     and I can assure you  It is Daves' way or no way.   How it should be.  Dave is one superman in a hurry and no time for book writing.  Maybe he will slow down someday and write one.!!!!!!!

Phil Behun:

I do not believe that was the purpose of the book. You might consider reading it.

It seems it is you who is sensitive to positions which differ from yours. Brace yourself - they're out there.

I did not say anyone was wrong. I didn’t speak to my own experience. I am not a trainer or a breeder. I am merely learning. Neither did I give my opinion. I stated that his techniques have been proven. And in the face of slanderous opinion shared apparently without basis I encourage others to pursue their interest or curiosity in this type of training and benefit from his expertise. This expertise is reflected in results. I doubt he would expect you to bow, however, you might find it a challenge to remain standing.

Regards.

The book has little to do with training and is hardly intentioned to stand as such.

I purchased a dog from Mike and his then wife(?) Petra about 9 years ago. His company was The DogMen.  I was confused at the time because his ex-wife and their son (also named Mike) was operating a similar business under the old name of BadenK9 and seemed to be trying to pass it off like Mike Sr. was still there.  Our dog is 10 now and has had bad arthritus (for about a year) in her hind legs and hips. It seems to be fairly well under control with daily pain medication. She also has some kind of allergy reaction going on with her eyes and is on daily drops.  She has just started to loose some hearing as well.  She has been a wonderful dog, is ferociously protective, and does not at all look her age.  Still I'm surprised how much she has deteriorated at just 10.

I would like to buy another trained dog from Mike Sr. But I'm even more confused than I was 9 years ago.  Baden K9 is still around and the DogMen and Petra has disappeared.  I get the impression Mike Sr. may be back with his Ex-wife and running the business again, but I can't confirm this.

I'd appreciate if anyone had any insignt in to the true whereabouts of Mike McConnery Sr.
