VomRuiz, you are exactly spot on!

My husband saw the whole thing and he said he watched her sniff at it, sniff at it, then put her tongue on it and freeze like "Oh wait ... uhm ... well, since I licked it, I'll just take it."

She did it so delicately my son never noticed the bread was gone till he went looking for it a couple minutes later.  My husband and I cracked up.

No problem Moons.  I knew you'd take a peek eventually.

Uglydog- Thank you for the compliment.  He IS a beast but we just LOVE this dog.

I'm so glad everyone enjoyed this thread as much as I did.  I especially loved the one with the GSD sharing a "time out moment" lol

It's funny how damn smart these dogs are....none of my dogs are allowed in the kitchen when we're eating and they do not get people food BUT they are sneaky lil buggers because they pretend to come in to get a drink of water knowing damn well that's the only good reason they're allowed in the kitchen when we're having dinner....somehow when leaving the kitchen they take a detour route past my 3 yr old who is ALWAYS willing to sneak them a "treat" from her plate.  Sometimes I don't know who's smarter the kids or the dogs....lol

My GSD watched us work the trash can, step on the lid and it opens. She can open it but can not steal anything out of it at the same time, so she would open it for the Rott and he would not share with her, so she refuses to open it any more for him, she just teases him. When we have a roast, she will open it and as he goes to poke his head in she closes it. I swear you can see her laughing with a twinkle in her eye.

@GSDtravels
Yes it is the same baby. It is our son Luka togehter with our dogs Aebby,Yankee and Hilko. He enjoys every minute with our dogs and it is a pleasure to see him grow up with such beautiful companions... He even started as a "helper" training the bitework with the pups and during the show training he makes his rounds with a ball and calls our dogs. Just georgeous. We all hope that he will enjoy the dogs for life. Will see what the future brings...
Wish you all a nice weekend and hope to have more threads like this. It is much more entertaining then all these boring discussions-;)
Regards

Well he is real cutie.  You should get some pics of him "working the dogs" and post them.  We never get tired of seeing both dogs and kids.

Hehehe Agar... I'm not quite sure you're supposed to allow company in "time outs" since as kids we probably all used to get spankings instead, I know I did...lol
But Galan seemed to feel bad for my naughty boy. Thanks for making this thread. I love seeing pictures of the dogs and families together.
And it's nice to know and be able to see from the pictures that there are a lot of parents out there teaching their kids how to be kind and to respect animals, and vice versa ;-) Even though my son only just turned three he already wants to help clean poop and believe it or not, he even knows already that dogs need clean, fresh water all the times.
Oh and I taugh him the other day that our dogs were "German Shepherds" He said "NO German Shepherd Dog!" lol
