It is  good to know about this. I had bookmarked this breede, because their site looks not only like they are knowleagable, really care about every dog they breed. I will now will never recommend her.  Thank you for all you do

Wow at $2,300 a pop she should be able to hold at least a  little $$  back for the emergency returning and rehoming expenses of the puppies she is responsible for putting out there in the first place.  Thanks for all you do Susan, and thanks for also letting us know where this breeder stands regarding her pups - wouldn't want to refer anyone to a  breeder such as this one who is not only  cold hearted but so irresponsible that she has no problem with you having to pick up after her.

Krazy Bout K9s

Thanks for the several attempts at getting this girl placed, she still needs a home. I know it is the Holidays, so not many are looking, I have talked the owner into keeping her a couple more weeks before I get her, the dog is about 7 hours away from me and we did have transport for today. Someone coming home for Christmas, but I just don't have the room for another BITCH female right now and have to take care of the ones I have in here.

So if anyone else might be looking for a started working dog....PLEASE....... HELP!!!!!
She is great with kids, but a tough dog nonetheless.....
Thanks all and Merry Christmas...
Steph
This photo was stolen off their website....FYI..Since the Breeder won't take the dog back and find ehr a home, because she is fixed, I felt it only fair, in order to try to find her a decent home..
Mira on the rag..

Oh, she is gorgeous Steph!  Too bad I have a bitch so won't be any other females coming this way for sure.  I hope everyone is cross posting this to let people know she is out there.

I'm not planning to travel a northely route West at this time of year, and I will be over capacity as far as traveling dog space,
BUT--- I will have kennel space when I get there.
SO--- If there's any way to get Mira to me when I get to CA, send her to me.

She may be eating Cosco food (as may I, LOL) but she will be eating, and we ain't gonna freeze to death in the Central Valley.

I'm eager to re-install my Pay It Forward program. Helping re-home a nice, needful dog sounds like a very rewarding way to start. :-)))

 Hello,

What is wrong with the Sapphire Shepherds' dogs? Why did you ask the kennel to take the dogs back?

zyna,

Go back and re-read the posts.  What part of this do you not understand?

Zyna, A RESPONSIBLE breeder SHOULD take back a dog they have bred to rehome it, if circumctances change for the buyer that prevents them from keeping the dog. I know breeders who actually have that as part of their sales contract, because they do not want dogs they have bred dumped at the pound. Some have rushed to get back dogs they bred when the dog's tattoo has been published here or on email list, after being found at shelters. The better breeders would be be horrified to have one of their dogs end up in rescue and would be very angry with the buyer for NOT contacting them before dumping, or thinking of dumping the dog in rescue or the pound. ¶Other breeders simply wash their hands of the dogs they breed the second they get the cash.

same thing happens in the UK too, Alyson and I are involved in GSD rescue (mainly Alyson) and have had a few in from 'well known' breeders, not one had taken one back yet, always a reason why they cant or they promise to phone back and never do, it's very sad, obviously there can be genuine reasons why not, hope Mira finds a home.
