...but the question is WHAT are the LC- afficionados doing/going to do about getting the LC classes in shows in the US. Local clubs are certainly NOT going to make an provision for LC classes, unless a lot of people make it clear that they want and intend to enter dogs in such classes. That means more than simply saying "I'd like to" on a message board. Contact your local clubs and ASK. Even give them the entry fee(s) to show you are serious. Contact other LC owners and have them do the same. I know of show breeders who claim to actually have waiting lists for LC. Those breeders could encourage those to whom they have already sold LC pups to contact the clubs about LC classes at shows, too.
The clubs are simply not going to act or make provision, unless sufficient interest is shown.

I just got Bella earlier this summer, I wasn't planning to get a longcoat but a fanstastic opportunity came up to have her and I took it. I have seen all the talk of the SV giving the longcoats a studbook and I got her with the mind of participating in anticipation/hopes that the USA or WDA would follow suit.
Bella is an awesome girl, she is very much the watchdog of the property, very aloof and easily suspicious of strangers on or around our property. She is very spunky and clownish at home but reserved and stoic when I take her places, she accepts being petted by strangers but isn't interested in reciprocating. She is VERY attentive and focused on me, excellent eye contact and willingness to obey, she's proven to be exceptionally trustworthy offleash, doesn't wander at all, she prefers to heel by me even when allowed free run.
Delacruz, wow! what a head on your boy! He's gorgeous, and a Zamp grandson too, very cool.

I would not buy or keep a LC pups in hopes of titling or KKLing it if I had a choice. I just do not care for the look of them, and all that hair? No thanks! To me, it will always be a fault.
