OK,I totally understand. Please be carefull then as to who you are trusting.Keep a little extra just incase it conviniently dissapears for good. You realize you may be talking about a multi million dollar law suit against this company. As i already said before, there are probably alot more sick animals out there.I also feed one of my boys a food from the vet with corn starch in it and hope to God its not the same company.Anyway, keep us informed of the outcome and I hope that you can begin healing from this tragic situation. Its a very painfull thing having something you love taken away from you without you having any fault.Good luck to you and your family.

I think you just should disclose the name of the company, there might be other people that using your brand of food that at risk. You can always retrive yoru statment if you find it that the food was not the issue. Just my opinion. I feel sorry for your loss.

Okay, I'll do it. The kibble is Royal Canin. We were feeding the German Shepherd variety. Since I did not trust their manufacturer, Diamond Foods, I was very uneasy about feeding it, but Carl kept buying it so....but when that last bag was opened, Kalie wouldn't eat it, & the stools of the other dogs turned that odd color, that was enough for me, I tossed the rest of it before Carl could feed them another bowl of it. Maybe that's why Ansgar survived, because she got a very low dose of the contaminent, if that is what it was caused by. There's my caveat--I don't know for sure, but it is a very remarkable coincidence. jackie harris

Thanks Kalibeck. He does say that he was buying the food from a vet so im not sure if its another line owned by them as well.As far as the R/C24,I can tell you that in Canada i was personally told that they had to UP the hydrolysed soya and DECREASE the chicken meal cause of availability in North AmericaThey also added barley after the oats being added .Imagine that, not enough chicken meal in NA.Needless to say,I also took my dogs off there food even if it is NOW made here in Canada. My one boy had started itching on there new formulation so that was enough for me ONCE AND FOR ALL with this company no matter how many of there signs i see at the events.

Thank you for giving the information on the dogfood.  Thousands of people feed R.C. to their pets.   My female just turned 2 years and I have been feeding her Diamond beef and rice.  I have to admit that I noticed her stool over the past 2-3 days has been very soft and yellowish-brown.  I have not given her any additives like the usual few spoonfuls of oil or flaxseed oil softgels in her feed.  I was thinking what could cause this turn from just plain kibble and she's acting perfectly normally.  The food doesn't smell weird and it is the bottom of the bag.  I just bought a bag of high energy for her.  I will be checking her alot more closely now.

I trust mt dogfood but I have had the experience of opening a bag that smelled bad.   Improper handling I would guess could always cause problems with any brand.   Contamination is another story.

A lot of people have lost pets over bad product seems like.  Someone should be held acountable.
