Having grown up around them, my first reaction was hound. I'd save the money of DNA and just place them as pets/no papers. Even the GSDish ones, what does it matter? Unless you think you could place it easier if it were a purebreed.

For my own curiousity, I'd DNA test at least one pup. But that's just me. That way you have something to back you up after approaching the breeder on it.
Gosh they are cute though... Reminds me of my GSD/hound mix that I had as a pup.
