everything depends on you.

What are you looking for  Show or work.

specific jobs to do. you cant buy a hammer and expect it to cut like a saw so choosing the proper puppy comes from creating a list of what you would like ultimateley in a dog.

Ok.  I would want for the structure to be correct....no cow hocked, east-west and so on.   I know perfect ion is not always ther but at least close to it,  Intelligence right there.  A dog that would fit as a family member to be a family protector.  A dog that knows when to be ready and when to be steady.  We had an American Show dog that was like that.  His father was AM/CAN SEL CH Survival's Eclipse.  Nice!  he was large but so gentle and somehow he knew when to pay extra attention to certain strangers and would back off when told to.

Both the German and American Showlines look nice in their "stance" but, I really hate the way their rear legs seem to almost draging more and more now especially the American show dogs.  I have been looking at alot of different German Shepherds on the internet and I am not sure if I am correct but, it looks to me like the Working line has a more correct structure.  In that I mean from what I saw the showlines have more issues in cowhocked and east-west than the working line.

I am also getting more into the working line colors.  They look more aggressive and intimidating.  My question is can they fit into a family and not try to take dominance over another family member?  And what do you do if that happens?

Thanks,
