I had a feeling it had to something to do with the "girlwrangler". Where is she in all this mess and why haven't we heard from her? She's been trying to pawn off these dogs and pups for awhile now.

Okay. I read the link provided above and found absolutely no evidence. Just ranting, accusations, rumors and conjecture. Does anyone have any actual hard evidence, like a pending court case number, an arrest date and charge/s. Anything? I am not impressed nor swayed by any so called evidence thus far. The pics are bad (although I have witnessed much, much worse), but there is no evidence WHO is responsible for the conditions of the dogs in the pics.

Even the dogs official names would be a start, then measures could be used to track down the person/s responsible, but I have a gut feeling that the owner of these dogs was not the caretaker of these dogs. From what I have gathered thus far, I am assuming that this is a co-ownership situation and that one of the parties involved in ownership, did not take care of the dogs and the other co-owner was not aware. That is my guess.

For the record, I could just call alt ostland kennels and get their side of the story, but I am intrigued how this "throw it out there accusation" thingy works and want to see how it plays out. Is it possible to ruin someones reputation and/or business, with misleading or downright false accusations, by posting anonymously on a public forum? Just because someone writes it (even in this day and age of 24/7 warnings about believing anything on the net), and adds a pic or twelve?

I am interested in the outcome.

Everytime I get into these threads, I notice that most on here seem to know a lot about each other (except for the trolls not being known). I don't know anyone with GSD's, so I do not have any personal experience with others on this site. That has its drawbacks but also allows me to be more unbiased, I believe. I am sure there are others out there like me. Convince us! With something other than bold font accusations. How about some actual evidence, and not just "chatter".

I read the link. I feel so bad for the person that saw their previosuly owned dogs in the pictures. I hate to think what I would do in that situation, be on a plane looking for dogs? Probably.

Animules, it was actually two round trips overland, one through ice and snow, approximately 7200 total miles driving in one week.

Judy i personally havent delt with you but i have heard some visious stories of you beeing a puppy miller. I have had dellings with people who are afiliated with you. they were both confused and diddnt know a thing about a german sheperd..ONE WAS RUNDENBURG GERMAN SHEPERDS. THE OTHER GIRL WRANGLER. I know for a fact if RHODA WOULD HAVE KNOWN GIRL WRANGLER WAS AFLIATED WITH YOU SHE WOULDNT HAVE SOLD THEM TOO HER. FROM the conditions i see these dogs you shouldnt own a pet rat. I know as a individule person i could not have the othorities too stop by and see ya!!! BUT AS A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO ARE ON THIS FORUM AND LOVE GERMAN SHEPERDS IM SURE WE CAN SPREAD THE WORD AND NOT BUY A DOG WITH ALT OSTLAND KENNELS NAME. THIS WOULD STOP THE CO OWNER SHIPS AND PUPPY MILLING. IM SURE OF THAT !!YOU COULD TRAIN TILL THE COWS COME HOME AND YOU COULD POSSABLY TITTLE THEM. BUT YOU WOULDNT HAVE INY PUPPY SALES!!

The condition of these dogs is an abomination and whoever did this to these poor animals should be convicted of animal cruelty. However, it is my opinion that the owner of AltOstand is not to blame and has never mistreated or neglected or starved her dogs. I have known her since December 2004 when I met her in person because I was interested in one of her stud dogs. I have photos that I took that day of the dog and he was in excellent condition and had a wonderful temperament. I have found the breeder to be an honest person who has gone out of her way to help people. I met her again in January 2005, October 2005 and November 2005 when I bred a couple of my females to her male. I then went out to her kennel in May 2006 to breed another of my females. I got the tour of her facilities and met all her dogs and puppies. All the dogs were healthy and happy and the puppies were friendly. In fact, I was amazed at how well the dogs who were out together got along with each other. I took photos so I have proof of the good condition of several dogs there. I went out to her kennel again in December 2006 to breed another female and again saw all her dogs and puppies. I had a couple of breedings that didn't take, but she had no problem with me repeating the breedings at no extra charge. I trusted her enough that I took one of my females to her place on July 7th of this year because I knew she was due in season and I was leaving the country for a couple of weeks and didn't want to miss her season. I picked her back up on August 5th, so I saw the breeder's dogs again then and they looked fine. I knew the breeder was going to have to move and that had nothing to do with her dogs. I offered to take one of her males temporarily to help her out because I knew she needed back surgery. We agreed that I should do some tracking training with him. I can certainly attest to his super friendly character and desire to work. I met her on August 21st to pick him up so didn't go to her kennels, but this dog was in excellent shape except for a little mud on his legs. Every time I have visited her it was obvious from her interaction with her dogs that her dogs adored her. Yes, she had lots of dogs, but she was taking care of them. Several of them lived in the house with her. The pups that I saw were very friendly and didn't have a problem with a stranger. I think her only problem was that she trusted somebody whom she didn't really know to take a lot of her dogs because she was in a bind and was needing to move. It breaks my heart to see those photos because those dogs didn't look like that when I last saw them. This breeder has also been actively showing her dogs in conformation shows over the last several years. The last one as recently as September. If her dogs were in that emaciated condition there is no way she would have done any winning and no way she would have embarassed herself by letting others see them like that. Common sense should tell people that! If she were starving her dogs she would never allow anyone to visit her kennel. If people are going to believe this lady is that kind of monster they should check their facts out first and not be so quick to prejudge somebody they have never met.

I think people should get all the facts before slamming someones face in the mudd, I do not know all the facts, but I do know this. I have a Henry Vom Odland son that I am very proud of. I was at her place in 2006, when I bred my female to Henry. Her dogs where all well cared for, and happy. The litter of puppies she had at the time were happy, well cared for and very social.

I saw Judy and 5-6 of her dogs at the UKC Show in August 2007 at Hutto, Texas. The dogs she had with her were in good condition, and very well fed. I do know she is moving and has shifted some dogs to temperary homes until the move.
