Yep - I got them mixed up - looked at old schusa books, and the Greg/Troy combo is not the same guy who was a couple of rooms down from me at the Nationals. Anyone got the old programs?

I prefer v8 myself. It has more vitamins.

Now we're on the right track. I guess I should hvae titled the thread "Oncein a Lifetime", but I didn't think of it. I didn't mean to deprive anyone of their due. Rod and Enzo, what a great team that was! I bred a female to Enzo, but she was getting on in age and didn't take unfortunately. Gus and the black dog Gringo, was another one, Messler shocking everyone and "serving notice" when he put Gringo up at "V" in Washington.
There are so many more... the "neat" thing about "one-timers" is that they are almost exclusively "normal" people, have "real" jobs rather than making their living from their dogs, do not have huge kennels, deep-pockets backers, high-dollar dogs, yet manage to make it to the top of the sport having sacraficed late nights after work, weekends and precious vacation days to work hard to get there.
I probably already HAD my "once in a lifetime" dog: Onyx. The best we did was a 2nd in the '98 DVG FH Championship. He left no progeny because he had one bad hip. I'd give anything to have him back again, him having gone to the bridge a few years back, waiting for his goof-ball woman with Pallo and and Angel and Cheetah and little Martin and a few others that never did anything particularly notable.
But maybe someday.... Hey, where there's life there's hope. ;)

V8 is okay, as long as its spiked.

Oh yes, lets talk about our once in a lifetime dogs. Mine was my Zorba von Tiekerhook. Way too much dog for me as far as schutzhund goes, but the very best thing that ever happened to me. He saved my life in more ways than one. He was my boon compadre for a little over 14 years.
