VonIsengard    Who is doing the defending? I believe everyone has said in one way or another that the dogs photo'ed in less then humane condiditons.

a person saying they won't stand in judgement but rather let it be heard by a court of law because of realizing that they haven't heard all the facts isn't going along with the accused in any way.  The pictures are horrendous.  No dog should have to endure those situations.  Some just want the courts to do their job.

There is a new article out. Interesting to read. They bring up several of the contradictions that are readily evident in the Humane Society story. While I appreciate that the conditions looked deplorable from the photos, I also have heard that Dawn was going to feed/clean when she was detained by authorities and blocked from entering they property. These pictures were taken 24+ hours after that! So if she cleaned/fed every 12 hours...that would mean this is 36 hours later! Put a large dog in a small crate for 36 hours and see what it looks like. I don't even crate my dog...so when you talk about how terrible anyone must treat their dog that defends her...you are barking up the wrong tree. I have one male. He is part of our family, with us all the time. That does not mean everyone else is forced to keep their dogs in the exact same situation because I am so narcisstic that I am the only one who can possibly do things right! I keep saying...at least look at the evidence. Breeders do have to do things a bit differently. She was showing and training these dogs. It is my understanding this was temporary to protect them from a storm. Why don't we at least wait and see what evidence comes out? It appears some with egg on their faces may be those who are defending a wrongful seizure of some dogs! Just a short time ago most everyone on here was saying, "Where are these owners? This is just a smokescreen." Well, appears we have owners. Now, even the media is reporting conflicting statements from the humane society...hmm...could there be more to this story??

John Stossel did a story on illegal siezures a year or so ago. He might be interested in doing some investigative reporting on this case.
I'm not saying this is illegal, cause I don't know anything about it. But I don't put anything past ASPCA and like groups.

"Put a large dog in a small crate for 36 hours and see what it looks like."

Nothing like that mess.

I am not able to get this disaster out of my mind. Did anybody hear anything about the dogs yet?

drom;More to this story?  there is a moral. Lesson 1 ; Never leave your dogs with a person who you do not know and know what the property looks like and  if there is a proper facility. second moral. never attempt to care for more dogs than you are able.

I haven't heard anything.  I'd like to, but the wheels of justice turn slowly, even when human lives are involved.  I don't expect any different with dogs.

Well ASPCA is operating as usual;  they drone in after the fact instead of trying to help to try and solve the initial problem.  JHC.  Poor dogs, just hope they are all in a better place.
