What does horse showing have to do with the Sieger Show? You can have a treat in your pocket for APDT Rally competition so now we can use tugs and balls at the WUSV? Um, I don't think so....

Sadly, my experience has been that lots of people will rant and rave, including, if not especially, those who actually witnessed the incident(s). But, once the "spectre" of actually filing charges is raised....POOF!! Just as the couple I referenced who had the "goods" on a cheating competitor at the last USA Nationals went POOF, the minute I said I would file the charges, if they simply gave me written statements and copies of the photos. POOF! Gone! And, that was when they already had "someone else" ready to address it!!
If I were to make a prediction, it would be that no one who witnessed this Sieger incident is going to file BOI charges, and if "someone else" does, the witnesses merrily posting here will either refuse to give statements to the BOI, or will do so only kicking and screaming every step of the way.
Maybe that's why no-one ever wants to file--can't take the "heat"? What exactly do you think these people can do to you? I have truly never understood that position.

I can understand and agree with your comments especially where "breeding is concerned.
Cheating is wrong...end of story....
IMO Mittelwest does get a bad rap on this board...you can't " throw the baby out with the bath water"....The Mittelwest dogs and their accomplishments speak for themselves...no???? Again, I am not justifying the cheating if she did in fact cheat ...and as beautiful as the Mittelwest coloring is I do not know why anyone would waste their time coloring them. JMHO................. Let's be clear here: the dogs don't get a bad rap, the cheating does. No one has bashed the dogs, in fact, I"ve made a point of saying they are of good quality. It's the cheating getting the bad rap. Only the cheating.

The dogs speak for themselves, the accomplishments sadly do not, since Julie Martinez has been caught dyeing and breaking tails and been disciplined, which makes the accomplishments suspect since she's a proven cheater. I can certainly understand buying a MW dog based on it's structure and personality and pedigree; I certainly would not believe in its color or that of its parents, but since I think the color would be acceptable without the dye, I wouldn't worry about the color. Now temperment is another issue.....

I agree wtih you 100%. But maybe you should ask Julie.

I have never sen a Mittlewest dog in person just pictures and videos.I don't care to see them in person . nice color but if its a dye job then its not really their color. The thing I have seen from the videos that would concern me is the bitework..Very poor even by show dog standards..That alone one should be the biggest concern people should have. If their was an ethics violation then it needs handled....Will it? Who knows ....its all about politics and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

There are quite a few breeders that get "bad raps" as you say...on any and most breed forums.
You learn quickly what is just "hear say, bad apples & half truths"......
In truth.....yes, your breeder has some very nice dogs........In truth....I know your breeder very well.
I don't believe this thread is directed to a "breeder bash"...and if so...it absolutely should not be.
This thread (to me) is about the way things & situations are handled by the "people in charge" of our organizations.
To me...this is more than one incident or venue.....it's bigger than that.

Listen, there was an incident with a dog that people don't agree with and people are going to talk about it, as they have every right to. It has nothing to do with being jealous- I see plenty of other people here giving and receiving hearty congratulations before this was brought up. For example, so many people were thrilled to see Cuervo make VA. Ask yourself, why is that? Because Robin and Carlos are good people, with an outstanding reputation, and they deserve it.
I'm sure there are some people who are jealous and spiteful. But speaking of throwing out the baby with the bathwater, don't assume that everyone who wants to see the rules followed has any agenda other than wanting to see fairness and consistency at all events. Some will do it out of malice, and some will do it out of justice.

I have often watched double handlers screamed at, team members snapping at one another and thought, "God, if you're so miserable, how on earth is your dog having any fun at all?!"
But there does come a time for everyone who has invested blood, sweat, tears, thousands of dollars, thousands of hours of time and so much heart into a breed they love to speak up when they see something they are unhappy with. I would not expect every pet owner to understand.
