Prager again, for you to predict doom and gloom and the fall of this country to socialism or Communism because those with more liberal ideals than conservatives are currently in power is simply hysterical histrionics and only wishful thinking on your part. This is more attention than your silly premise deserves and therefore is my last post to you on this subject.

Capitalism inspires hard work, innovation, etc. it's great, but also in it's pure form I can promise that most of America would not resemble the power that it was and is. Without a lot of the "redistribuition" of wealth so many like to cry about, we'd all be the dirty and dead china man working on the railroads toiling our lives away till we died for the power barrons that controlled all the money.
There has to be a balance and thus far I think the US has done a decent job of it. I also think programs and policies have been bastardized by the ubiquitous politicians that seem to ruin every society eventually. Many policies no longer serve their purpose, they only serve to make others richer off the backs of others, and that goes for the rich or the poor.

Sue,
I am not predicting doom and gloom. All I am saying is that anytime country reverts to socialism, then there are consequences. This country is turning to socialism right now. That is not a prediction of doom and gloom that is a fact, which you could grasp if you would know what is the definition of socialism. Well I help you out.
Socialism: Is a political system where government controls some or all means of production. With that then comes governmental control of individual freedoms.
Our government control of many banks, big part of auto industry, ...it's attempting for control of heath care is socialism. So I am not predicting anything. I am just describing what is happening here and now. Also every time, 100% of the time with this socialist control comes loss of individual freedom. This is about loss of liberty.
By the way, yours is
typical response of a person without facts. You say: "You are an !@##@*&^%! (What ever) and I am not talking to you any more."
I know that I am miserable creature in eyes of God, you do not have to remind me of that. Instead you should attempt to help me to understand who are you and help me to be a better person. That is what I am trying to do.

Jurdon55; I agree with you. I am not republican. If anything I am libertarian.
By the way I do not see words LIBERTY and FREEDOM as a catch words. I lived without them for more then 2 decades of my life. It is hard to understand or to explain if you do not have the experience. I mean this the best possible way. Not as an insult at all.
