Sorry, I look at those pictures and not only will I judge, I will judge harshly.
I judge not only the owner but anyone else that had knowledge of it.
I hope the day never happens where I can look at pictures like that and NOT feel moral outrage.

I don't think people so much care WHO did it but that it was done. If Dawn is innocent, and someone else is responsible, for some valid reason, so be it. It doesn't do a thing to change the fact that the poor dogs were in horrid conditions and whoever is responsible for the conditions isn't fit to have a dog and needs mental help. I also think there is outrage that some members are of the opinion that it's not so bad. I'm with Betty on that one. I vehemently disagre that it happened over a few days. If someone was feeding them, then they saw the mess and left dogs in there anyway.

I agree Jenni, and I apoligize to the board members for my little tiff the other night. The conditions of the dogs was pathetically sad. It was heartbreaking to see those beautiful loving but desperate eyes. The conditions were deplorable and not just an overnite thing. But it is now time for the experts, the court, the lawyers and maybe even doctors to figure out the responsible parties. The dogs are in a better place that is clean, with food and water and human interaction and vet care. And my compassion is for the dogs but also if the person (people) that were a part of this get punishment but more importantly HELP. I don't wish to see anyone distroyed but perhaps finally getting needed help. The internet should not be a lynching party seeking distruction of a human being. There should be some compassion for the human being also especially if they suffer from phycological problems. The outcome of this situation will send a huge message to the dog world. I just hope we learn the truth and the details of what brought this horrible situation to our neighborhood.

I re-read my last post.......... the lady paid 14,000 in lawyer fees to get her dogs back, not 1,400., tried to fix it but was already too late.

The court hearing was today and i do not know the results. I do know there is an issue that many of the dogs were taken by police officers at the scene and never made it to the shelter. i also know for a fact that at least 3 puppies are unaccounted for. I do believe the seizure was justified but i feel that the shelter did not follow its own guidlines and made no effort to find the legal owners of several dogs.
