Ugly, by the way, here is an incident of which I am sure you will approve. These kids must make you hopeful.
Some elementary school students came up with "hit a Jew day". I think you will feel right at home there.

Hodie posted
"Mr. Wurzelbacher’s notoriety has raised the ire of Tom Joseph, business manager for Local 50 of the United Association of Plumbers, Steamfitters, and Service Mechanics, who claimed that Mr. Wurzelbacher didn’t undergo any apprenticeship training."
Question for you..........Please answer this question without looking down your nose at me, or changing deflecting the content of this post...which seems to be your MO .....Why does it matter that he was not a UA Pipefitter/Steamfitter Apprentice?

RPK,
Sorry, you have who posted what confused. I did not make that post about Wurzelbacher's notoriety, Abhay did, not that it matters to you because you seem not to have read the post either. So you will have to refer your question to someone else. I suspect I know the answer, but you will have to figure it out.

Hodie,
I was wrong and stand corrected. ............Why do you assume this assertion with this quote in reply to me from your post?
"If you really felt the need for serious change, you would be out in society trying hard to contribute"
I maintain that you continue to deflect the content of posts that you disagree with and present an better than thou attitued that seems consistant with some that is a "have not". Question for you......Do you even have a 401K?
Just so you know, I am a Union Ship Builder....and believe that the best things in life are earned, and not given.

RPK,
Sorry again. I do not understand your question, nor if I did understand it would I answer it given that you accuse me of deflecting content. The one who does that most in this topic is UGLY with his anti-semite rantings.
My financial status is none of your business. But, I too believe in earning what I get and that is exactly how I have lived my life.I am a self-made person in all respects. And I have worked hard all my life, at multiple jobs at a time, as well as seeing that I got the best education I could. As well, I believe in giving back to society and that too is how I have also tried, in a variety of ways, to live my life.
Personally speaking, by reading all your statements long ago above about what you believe in, we have some things in common, but many things not in common. On another topic, I believe unions in this time are useless and protect those who are laziest. I am glad I am now old enough to own my own business and I voted to make it illegal in my state to force people to join unions to get or keep a job. Is that deflection enough?

RPK,
Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher is a Charlatan. Him claiming to be a plumber, is no different than the guy who runs the Kiddie Train at Six Flags, claiming he is a Locomotive Engineer. Any Locomotive Engineer is a member of the UTU or The BLE. Its a closed shop. Samuel Joe Wurzelbacher, is a Handyman.
Wurzelbacher, falsely presented himself through the entire sham. The only time he even inquired about buying the company he works for, was during his job interview 6 years ago.
If Wurzelbacher had the talent and knowledge to get a license, he would have done so in the last 6yrs of his employment. Had he done so, he would have made a whole hell of a lot more that the 40K he made in 2006. Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher lost all credibility.
RPK, You say that you are a Union Ship Builder? Why did you bother to join the Union? Do you consider the guy who works on his brother in law's boat in the backyard, a Ship Builder as well? I find it so difficult to believe that a Union Worker would have to ask why it matters that "Joe" was not a UA Pipefitter/Steamfitter Apprentice?
by hodie on 25 October 2008 - 03:10
Yes RPK, I am going to bed as well, but I do believe Abhay clarified the point and question quite well: "I find it so difficult to believe that a Union Worker would have to ask why it matters that "Joe" was not a UA Pipefitter/Steamfitter Apprentice?"
Though I do not like unions, as a charlatan that Wurzelbacher was shown to be, doesn't it bother you just a little that someone would claim to be something he was not?

Abhay,
90 percent of all Plumbers in a America are not , nor have been Union afilliated........just sayin..........Most plumbers learned the trade the old fashion way.........on the job training........BTW getting a license does not make plumber a craftsman.....
To answer your question. I joined the Union because it is required for employment at my company.......I was a certified Pipe and Structural Welder for my first 18 yrs and then I was Production Manager for 13 yrs. I just recently went back to the tools by choice.....I also served as the chairman of the UA Steamfitters Apprenticeship .program for 5 yrs....We turned out some good ones, but they were few and far in between..........BTW The local UA sells journeyman cards for $250.............they just want the money....Again on the job training is more important the anything else.......even if it is done in the back yard

All the training in the world, won't get the paycheck a license will. Wurzelbacher's paycheck say's he is a Handyman!
