Ibrahim and Randy,

Thank you both for your efforts in this exercise.  Educational and thought provoking for me.

I'll look forward to more of your discussion and conclusions.

Warm Regards,

Kevin Nance

From the list of S/L dogs who stand with the working lines we some rise to the top. Let's start nominating other dogs not as accomplished but have shown excellent working ability. You can name your puppy's daddy here if you would like. Maybe someone can list the S/L dogs from the sieger show that won a performance award.

I'll start with four:

Ikon Olympus

Enko Moorbeck

Jaguar Mausespitz

Camillo Pallas Athena

Ok, nows my chance LOL!!! my dog Zamp von der Urbecke, you can see his scores and such on my website www.westcoastgermanshepherds.com - the work is already finished on his mother's side (Bazi) but we can explore the top side now (Quenn)

Camillo won a performance award at the German Sieger Show.

Here he is:

Yasko up close on the father and Quartz on the mother's side a few generations back.

When we talk about Quartz, this kennel will be mentioned.

Quartz dei Templari is a name to remember, This Camillo's pedigree is full of stars, I bet the breeder knew what he was looking for in this litter, there was good planning and research done. In the above patterns, do you think the breeders knew the dogs who had it in them and wasn't just a luck? if they are true and actual patterns then most probably the breeders, or some of them, know the secret.
I bet Arlett did what you're doing right now or something similar.
If a breeder keeps a log notebook of dogs he meets, trains, watches them train, accomplishments etc then in few years he /she will have his own Data Base, but maybe competition will not permit OPEN RECORDS, maybe tell me and I tell you in return.

Ibrahim
