I guess the point I wanted to make with my previous comment is this: the GSD family is a house divided many ways. Discussing what is 'the perfect dog' is interesting but, like religion, politics, and art, is impossible to 'convert' people to thinking the same. All of our interests are different as well as what we each interpret is beautiful or what a GSD should look like. I am so glad there are plenty of breeders out there who think like I do as to what is a perfect or ideal dog so I have lots of resources when I'm ready for my next partner. There are plenty of GSDs out there I wouldn't take if they were given to me but I guess I can respect the fact that others like them. Our breed isn't the only one with a divided house either. Love what you want, stay away from what you don't and, until a consensus is made, the house will stay divided.

Mithuna, it will pain you to know (yet delight me to tell you) that black dog was once my dog, bought by me as a pup, from my very good friend and mentor. Dawulf has given her the best home she could ask for the last 5 years after some circumstantial issues made me think she could be better off with Dawulf. Her name is Qira vom Linmarc, and her sire is one of the few so-called "DDR" dogs I really like and respect in terms of temperament and drive. Super nerves, strong temperament, high intelligence, clear head, and very high drive. Not an easy dog to handle, and wasn't used much for stud because of this. He was high energy, high drive, high aggression, and quite serious. Bit for real (and I mean in real life, not a training scenario). The majority of people interested in DDR lines are pet homes, and Durbas produced a bit more than just a pretty pet, lol. Steve also had his detractors among the DDR pet breeders due to his rather direct demeanor and higher standards for what a GSD's temperament and working ability should be, so that may be another reason Durbas wasn't used a lot. He was an incredible dog. He may still be alive- I lost touch with the lady who has him, though I tried to bring him home after Steve's wife died.

You would say she's not big enough and doesn't weigh enough, I'm sure.

She will always be one of my favorite dogs, ever.

Dawulf, sorry to answer a question directed at you, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity.

What do users on this board think of an admin openly publishing the ip address of another user?
I had a friend here in NYC who tried an experiment with me...and using only her IP address with a geo locator I was able to come withing 250 meters of her home.
So since mine has been openly published what will stop Western from publishing anyone elses?
So someone on here has make it theoretically possible to locate within 250 m from wherever that computer you are using is located.
\No Jenni I am happy that you have owned that beautiful dog because I think you take good care of your dogs. I have seen others treat dogs very horribly. My dog has some of same dogs as Durbas in her ped as well. Durbas looks quite nice.

Last , how does saying " is there a kitkat in the house " lead someone with a user name that contains the word kitkat to go on rant? And Western , how do you know precisely to what I was referring; this is not the first time I have seen this kind of thought process exhibited here on the board; to me is raises serious credibility issues about how such persons process information , and the arguments they put forward.

IP addresses change all the time and are not a fool proof way to locate somebody.  Your user IP is different in the two quotes admin used

Once a long time ago, there might not have been moderation even, can't remember for sure, the posters were getting so rude and out of hand that Oli moved his own Magic Wand, and poof! Just like that! everyone's ISP was suddenly apparent!

Oh, you should have heard the howling going on then, LOL all the exposed duplicate names, the accusations were flying!

And then poof, just like that, they were gone. It was done as a sobering lesson at the time.🤠The site was more often like the wild, wild, west back then.

Seems likely that Mithuna was probably at work for one post, and then traveling and using his mobile, on the other post.
