Hodie..
Fed Chariman Greenspan CONTROLLED the US Monetary Policy, As Bernanke does Now!
The Fed & Fed Bankers CONTROL Wall Street, FNMA, FHMC-They set rates, they control lending to & from, all of our Banks & lending institutions. It is NOT Federal NOR a Reserve. It is 75% Foreign Owned.
The Fed create busts & booms AT Will. You dont get it do you? Heres a few to help you until you read 'The Creature from Jeckel Island' about the Federal Reserve. Subprime is but a drop in a sea of malinvestment. Derivatives are the cause (CDS) credit default swaps. Subprime is only a convenient excuse but is irrelevant really.
God people are stupid.

"I sincerely believe ... that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies, and that the principle of spending money to be paid by posterity under the name of funding is but swindling futurity on a large scale."

Ok, God's plan. Perhaps, just perhaps she meant what many people believe, that God has a plan for everything, and that people may not understand what that plan is, until later? That is an easy statement to twist into "Palin is a religious wacko", when I've heard many mainstream, normal people speak of God's plan when they or a family member get sick, or when a loved one dies. It's pretty common, at least in my area. Her statement in that context sounds pretty harmless.
She didn't get up in front of people and say God wants us to fight Iraq, now did she?
"God people are stupid."
Hey now. You understand a lot about financial instruments. I have a financial advisor, just as I don't have to have expertise in internal medicine, to diagnose some medical condition I may contract.
Hodie is a heck of a well-educated person in her field. She's certainly NOT stupid.

Stupid is when one is racist, blames everything on people, races, institutions, individuals without having a full and complete understanding of the situation. I do not presume to understand every facet of economics, but Ugly, you clearly understand only what you want to make out of any one situation.
When approached by an individual representing a company who wanted to refinance my former home and value it at well above what I KNEW it to be worth, I turned this offer down. Had I not done so, out of greed for the extra money I might have realized at the moment, I would be in the same situation that so many people are. Sadly, yes, too many borrowers are IGNORANT about money, borrowing, and credit. When I see high school kids manning the cash register at the local store who are unable to figure out what 20% of $20 is, I am very worried. When they think that the Dow Jones is a company, I am very worried. When I watch Jay Leno go down the street and ask the simple things he does and people not be able to answer the questions, I am very worried. When I see people unable to answer the questions on "Smarter than a 5th Grader", I am very worried.
More importantly, when I see people who ignore ethical issues in every aspect of their life, I am very worried. We see that magnified at the corporate and business level and eventually, non-regulation and poor oversight (from the BUSH administration this time), results in chaos. How it all ties together on a global scale is more complicated than I care to waste time on here.
I will pit my education and background and experience UGLY against yours any day. Further, I do not blame the rest of the world for my own personal failings, as do you. Nor do I care to debate with you when you are incapable of rational thought most of the time for your hatred of Jews, Israel etc.......
Go play with your AK-47. I have to work and earn some money because I won't blame my life on someone else if I cannot pay my bills.

Hodie..nice try to paint me as a hater. Im Not. My education is modest, a BA degree from a public Ivy University. But I have a PHD in common sense, hard knocks & people.
I Hate Criminals, be they on Wall Street, DC or the ghettoes. This was an Engineered Swindle. I saw it years ago. I also profited from it by shorting the market and buying commodities, but the rub, is that my nation is almost destroyed, soon will be. Truth? I Hate Israels policies. How can any sane person with a soul, not?
Chief Rabbi Metzger thanks Bush for intervening in Iraq
M. Wagner -- Jerusalem Post 1/9/2008
During a short verbal exchange Wednesday at the Ben Gurion Airport Terminal, Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi Yona Metzger thanked George Bush for the US's military intervention in Iraq.
"I want to thank you for your support of Israel & in particular for Waging a War against Iraq," Metzger told Bush, according to the chief rabbi's spokesman.
Bush answered that the words "warmed his heart".

hodie and tessj10:
if you two could actullay comprehend the slighest thing, perhaps you would have understood that I made reference to Obama having an IQ of 130 because there has been a running advertisement on this site that read something like this :Obama has an IQ or 130, click here and test yourself to see how you measure up" (or something to that effect). It is probably still showing up on here from time to time.
My statement was that, if his IQ is in fact 130 (I don't personally know but do doubt it), as that ad suggest, then he must not be ignorant but must rather be "okay" with his associations with Wright and Ayers, and he made bad judgements, especially for a politician.
Did I 'splain it well enough now Lucy's, you imbeciles.

I find this quote amusing, coming from one who is constantly saying how difficult and hard life is :)
My life is just peachy, thank you. Must mean I am a genius :)
If only I could get Mike Huckabee into the white house this time, then I would REALLY be a genius and would be REALLY happy.

Well, apparently hodie & I comprehend a lot more than you do.
The Ayers association is bad judgment? Guess the Annenbergs (HUGE Republican supporters, Nixon's Ambassador to the U.K., HUGE Ayers supporters) and Rick Santorum (received thousands from Ayers) plus many, many other prominent Republicans who have supported Ayers' work showed bad judgment, too?
So c'mon, Do right, get going: start bashing all the Republicans who have worked closely with Ayers for YEARS. Here's a list to help you get started:
